Proud to collaborate with the @nationals and the @nats4good to bring the AŠVA Program to their young scholars this past summer!

In just five weeks, we saw incredible results:

• 33.2% boost in physical well-being
• 32.3% increase in focus
• 31% rise in energy levels
• 27.6% improvement in mental well-being

By combining yoga, breathing, and mindfulness, we’re empowering athletes to thrive both on and off the field.

This partnership demonstrates how mind-body-breath programs can transform behavioral health. We hope to inspire schools, parents, and coaches to adopt similar practices in their communities.

Last Friday, @chiraag.kankariya and I got to present AŠVA and @conscioushoopers at the Physical AI Summit at MIT!

We were definitely one of the more unique startups there compared to all the robotics, physical AI applications, and technologies being showcased. Some people were even confused as to why we were there haha!

But once we explained that AŠVA is our AI-powered performance wellness platform and ConsciousHoops is how we’re bringing people together through basketball, mindfulness, and community, it clicked!

So technically, we’re the embodiment of PHYSICAL AI! 😅😂

But jokes aside, it was really cool seeing how people connected with our mission of bringing greater consciousness, awareness, and human connection into this new world of AI.

Really thankful and inspired to have been part of such an amazing event and to meet so many wonderful and bright minds!

Huge thank you to John Werner and his entire team for putting this together!

As we enter this new world of AI, our hope is that humanity and community remain the main focus, while we use technology to create greater accessibility and connection!

(P.S. Peep the last photo of Chiraag and me biking to MIT, with me struggling to keep up in the back 😂)

Pressure is a privilege.

Meaning that as you elevate and grow, naturally more responsibilities, expectations, and challenges will come your way.

Not necessarily to break you, but if used correctly, to help awaken that hidden potential inside you.

So the issue isn’t always pressure itself, but rather our relationship with it.

And that reminds me of a cool concept called eustress, which is essentially positive stress that can help us grow, adapt, and perform at a higher level.

Because pressure doesn’t always have to be something that overwhelms us. It can also be something that pushes us to become better.

And if we can learn how to reframe pressure and use it to our advantage, the sky is the limit!

And if you’re looking for something to help you reframe how you deal with pressure, I built an app called AŠVA, designed to help strengthen and regulate your nervous system through mind, body, and emotional balance!

Our system builds upon research-informed methodologies studied by researchers and physicians affiliated with institutions like Mayo Clinic, the University of Cincinnati, and more.

Through movement, breathwork, and meditation, AŠVA is designed to help you better navigate pressure, strengthen emotional resilience, and elevate your overall performance and wellness.

Would love for you to check it out! Click the link in bio to download the app!

Mindfulness is like the eye of a hurricane. 🌀

I love this analogy famously used by @george.mumford

On the outside of a hurricane, there’s chaos and destruction. But in the center, or the eye, it’s calm.

And the same idea applies to us.

The more we can learn to operate from that quiet space instead of the chaos around us, the better we can respond to stressful situations without becoming overwhelmed.

So how do you practice this?

By focusing your attention on something like your breath, a sound, or a mantra.

Your thoughts might wander, and emotions might come up. That’s completely normal.

Just acknowledge whatever surfaces and bring your attention back to your anchor.

Mindfulness isn’t about eliminating the chaos. It’s about learning how to stay present within it.

And that’s a big part of why I created AŠVA, a performance wellness app combining mobility, breathwork, and meditation to help strengthen your mindfulness and regulate your nervous system.

Breathwork is not just a relaxation tool.

Most people think breathing exercises are just about calming down, relieving stress, or falling asleep.

And while those are absolutely benefits, there’s something much deeper happening.

You’re learning how to regulate your nervous system.

Through slow, controlled breathing, we can influence our autonomic nervous system, including vagus nerve-related pathways that help regulate our stress response.

And what’s interesting is how that can change our relationship with stress, fear, anxiety, and other emotions.

Because the goal isn’t to never feel those emotions.

It’s to create space between what we’re feeling and how we respond.

And with consistent practice, we can start developing greater awareness, emotional resilience, and the ability to navigate pressure without immediately reacting.

Relaxation isn’t always the goal. Sometimes, it’s the result.

That’s a big part of why we built AŠVA.

A performance wellness system combining movement, breathwork, and meditation to help you regulate and strengthen your nervous system and improve your overall emotional durability.

Because performance isn’t just physical. It’s how you move, breathe, feel, and regulate.

Most people fail, not because they aren’t good enough, but because their nervous systems struggle to withstand the path it takes to reach their dreams.

I came across this clip from the @thejoebuddenpod about music artists, but I think it applies to anyone chasing a dream.

There’s actually some neuroscience behind this. When we experience uncertainty, a lack of feedback, or perceived rejection, our nervous system can interpret those situations as threatening, even when there’s no immediate physical danger.

Sometimes, it’s not the act of failing that makes people give up.

It’s the invisible weight of being ignored, of being unseen longer than they expected.

Success isn’t solely about talent, exposure, marketing, or luck. Those things play a part, but something we don’t talk about enough is emotional durability — being consistent under emotional pressure.

The ability to keep creating and putting in the work without collapsing into comparison, self-doubt, or the fear of being “too late.”

And that doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings.

It means learning how to feel without crumbling.

As a former college hooper turned entrepreneur, I’ve struggled with this myself.

And it’s a big part of why I built AŠVA.

A performance wellness system designed to help regulate and strengthen your nervous system through mind, body, and emotional balance, and improve your overall emotional durability.

Feeling overwhelmed? Sometimes all you need is a moment to reset. 🧠

Whether you’re in the middle of a game, at work, or navigating everyday stress, your breathing can be a powerful tool to help you slow down and refocus.

One technique you can try is 4-7-8 breathing:

🌬️ Inhale for 4 seconds

⏸️ Hold for 7 seconds

💨 Slowly exhale for 8 seconds

Here’s why it can help:

Slow, controlled breathing can help support the parasympathetic nervous system, which plays an important role in relaxation and recovery. Extending the exhale can also help us slow down and create space before responding to stressful situations.

It’s a reminder that performance wellness isn’t just about what we do during training, competition, or work. It’s also about how we regulate and recover throughout the day.

That’s why we built Quick Resets into the AŠVA app — guided short breath-work and meditation practices designed for those moments when you need to pause, reset, and refocus.

Stress isn’t going anywhere. But your relationship with it can change.

There’s a big difference between saying:

“I am anxious.”

and

“I am noticing anxiety.”

The first can make the feeling part of your identity.

The second creates space between you and what you’re experiencing.

That space matters.

Because when we can notice our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without immediately becoming consumed by them, we give ourselves more room to choose how we respond.

And stress itself isn’t always the problem. Stress is part of life, performance, relationships, work, competition — everything.

What we can train is our response.

The more space we create between the stimulus and our reaction, the better equipped we become to adapt, regulate, and respond when pressure shows up.

That’s a big part of why we built AŠVA around movement, breathwork, and meditation — practices designed to help you build greater awareness, regulation, and resilience over time.

On World Mental Health Day, one reminder feels especially important: healing does not happen in isolation.

Mental health is deeply personal, but support, belonging, and community can play a powerful role in how we cope, recover, and move forward.

That’s why spaces like the Claude Mental Health & Wellness Build Day matter. Bringing together builders, clinicians, researchers, and wellness leaders reminds us that innovation and healing both grow stronger in community.

Huge thank you to Prasanna Gopalakrishnan, @raosharon , @brandonslicklein , @gargabhay06 , @mywhatiforg , and @claudeai for creating and hosting such a meaningful event!

Also, a quick shoutout to everyone who attended, and especially to my team — Ilora, @j.ai.son , Danielle, and Kamau. Y’all are super inspiring, and I’m so glad to have connected with you.

Today is a reminder to check in, reach out, listen, and create spaces where people feel seen and supported.

Because sometimes one conversation, one connection, or one caring community can make all the difference.

You can’t always think your way out of stress. 🧠⚡️

Performing at a high level isn’t just physical — it’s how you move, breathe, feel, and regulate.

When your body is tense and your breathing is shallow, changing your thoughts alone may not be enough.

That’s why AŠVA approaches performance wellness through three pillars:

🏃 Movement — Release physical tension
🫁 Breath — Support nervous system regulation
🧘 Stillness — Cultivate focus and awareness

Body → Breath → Mind.
