I know it’s cliché, but time really does fly by when you’re having fun.

In the past five years of my life, I have met some of the most amazing friends and teammates who have pushed me to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. I will always cherish the moments we had during our failures and successes, as well as our time on and off the field. I am forever thankful for my parents and coaches as they have guided and supported me every day, practice, and game.

Some things that I will miss the most are storming the field after walk-off wins, the long bus rides (even though they seem awful at the time), team meals, and just everyday conversations with the guys I loved the most. I have appreciated all of the support from our fans and other parents at every single one of our games, whether home or away. Over the years, I have learned not to take for granted the time spent with the people you love the most. The relationships I have developed are very special, and every person I have met at IWU has had some sort of positive impact in my life.

In my time at IWU, we have broken numerous school records in wins and stats, have won multiple Crossroads League championships, and have even come just a couple games shy of making it to the NAIA World Series. We have created the foundation for future success in our program and that is something I will always be proud of.

With all that being said, I feel truly blessed to have been able to play a game that has molded and changed me for the better. I wish nothing but the best for my teammates who have time left playing baseball. Make every moment count and most importantly have fun.
