Fall Nationals — Day 1: Creative & Xtreme! 🔥

Thankful to share the ring with not only incredibly talented competitors, but also amazing people! Some of them I’ve known for over 5 years, and it’s always special to compete alongside them.
Happy to meet new faces in the ring and even happier to see familiar faces coming back to competition! @trexking04 There’s always more work to do, more to learn, and more room to improve. I’ll always stay humble in both my wins and my defeats, because every experience is an opportunity to grow. 🥈🥈🥈
Grateful for the journey, the friendships, and the competition! atamaxofficial @atamartialarts #tkd #extrememartialarts #taekwondo #ataworldwide atalegacy by @ataomarchamp

Super late post ! Worlds 2026 and Super 20! This past season was tough but I know success isn’t just about winning titles—it’s about growth, resilience, and showing up no matter what.
I’m proud that I was able to get in Top 10 ranking in four events, being 3rd and 4th in the world, during my very first year competing in the incredibly tough 15–17 Second & Third Degree Boys division. Many said to compete in this group isn’t really fair when you are the youngest and many of the competitors have already 2-3 years more experience and are so much older, but the truth is life is not always fair and we need to be ready for that.

To be honest this past season wasn’t easy. Between a demanding academic schedule and dual enrollment, training wasn’t always possible. School is just as important to me as Taekwondo, and I’m proud to have completed 40 college credits during my freshman year of high school. I did work so hard for this academic achievement.

Even with my busy schedule I managed to earned four European titles in Portugal, was honored as the 2025–2026 Region 111-B Junior Black Belt of the Year, helped at my ATA school, and taught XMA seminars at two W4L schools. No body knew but ten days before Worlds, I was injured but I still stepped on the mat to do my best, because quitting has never been an option.

Although I didn’t bring home a World title this year, I gained something just as valuable: experience, stronger friendships, and lessons that will stay with me forever. Watching my instructors @neriferlu become World Champions for the second time 💪🏻 and seeing my teammate Shawn win his very first World title filled me with so much joy. Shawn @atashawnp I know your mom is so proud of you 🕊️🙏🏻❤️
For this new tournament season, my goal is simple: enjoy the journey, appreciate every small victory, keep improving, and remember that my biggest competition is always myself. I don’t have to prove to anyone but myself that I can make my goals a reality like I did before.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come—and even more excited for what’s ahead. #tkd #ata #ataworldwide #martial #atabeyondthebelt by @ataomarchamp

This is what happens when you give a group of martial artists homework. 😂🥋💥

One kick turns into another… somebody grabs a weapon… and suddenly the whole group chat is under attack.

Teaching at my school, @w4lballantyne, is truly a privilege. 🥋❤️

Thank you to my main instructor, Master Neri Madriaga @neriferlu , for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to share my knowledge, help the students, and give back to my school.

W4L has given me so much, and I’m incredibly grateful that I now have the opportunity to give back and help others whenever I can.

My goals aren’t just about personal achievements. I want to grow, but I also want to inspire, teach, and help others grow along the way.

Right now, I’m balancing high school academics, dual-enrollment college classes, working as a Taekwondo instructor, training for tournaments, and chasing the many goals I’ve set for myself.

Is it easy? No.
Would I change it? Not a chance.

I love every minute of the journey. The hard work, the challenges, the lessons, and the growth. 💪🏻

Grateful. Humble. Hungry for more. 🙏🏻🥋❤️🥷 by @ataomarchamp

Happy Father’s Day Dad ❤️

Today I want to thank you for everything you do for me. Thank you for all the sacrifices, the hard work, the endless support, and for always believing in me even when things are challenging.

You are not only my dad, but also my biggest role model. The way you work, the way you care for our family, and the values you teach me every day inspire me to become a better person.

Thank you for always being there to guide me, support my dreams, and push me to give my best. I’m grateful for every lesson, every conversation, and every moment we share. Thank you for always bringing positivity, for your amazing attitude, your big smile, and your laugh that can make any moment better. Your whistles are the best 😁

I hope one day I can become the kind of man you are. I love you Dad, and I’m so lucky to have you. ❤️ by @ataomarchamp

I am truly humbled and honored to receive the ATA Junior Black Belt of the Year Award for 2025–2026 in Region 111B!

This recognition means so much to me because it goes beyond titles, trophies, and medals. It represents dedication, hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, leadership, and my passion for the sport I love.

This award was even more special because it was presented at the same ceremony where my incredible instructor and Master Nominee, Mr. Neri Madriaga Videla @neriferlu was recognized as Instructor of the Year. Being Mr Madriaga student for the past six years was nothing but an opportunity to grow not just as a martial artist but as a person. Sharing this moment with him was truly unforgettable.
It felt like a full-circle moment, with my very first instructor, Master Tim Bowen, who encouraged me to begin competing at the age of nine, was also there. Throughout the years, both Master Bowen and Mr. Madriaga have played a huge role in shaping me as a martial artist and as a person. The lessons, values, and principles they have taught me will stay with me for a lifetime.

Receiving this award has been one of my goals, and I am incredibly grateful to have achieved it. Thank you to ATA, to my amazing instructor Master nominee Mr. Madriaga, Senior Master Cabrera, my family, and everyone who has supported and guided me along the way. I would not be here without you.

This recognition inspires me to continue working hard, growing as a leader, and representing ATA to the best of my ability. @atamartialarts @w4lballantyne #ata #ataworldwide #atabeyondthebelt #atalegacy by @ataomarchamp

What an amazing W4L Retreat we had this past Saturday! 🏆💪🏻
We trained together, grew together, and pushed each other to the next level as martial artists.

This retreat was extra special for me because, for the first time, I had the honor of teaching Creative and XMA alongside Mr. Miguel Pena. Being able to lead training sessions for different groups — from Tigers to adults and black belts — was truly an incredible experience.

One of the most humbling moments was standing in line next to my amazing instructors and our W4L founder, Chief Master Candidate Cabrera @gonzalocabrera5451 . It’s such an honor to teach alongside the people I admire and look up to every single day.

A huge thank you to my instructor @neriferlu for trusting me with the opportunity to lead and teach at this retreat. I’m beyond grateful! #ataworldwide #atalegacy #atabeyondthebelt #tkd #taekwondotraining

All of the students did an incredible job pushing their limits, growing their skills, and leveling up as martial artists. Proud of everyone who gave it their all!

Already looking forward to the next amazing retreat! 🥋🔥 by @ataomarchamp

I am happy and humbled by my results for the 2025-2026 tournament season in the 15-17 second and third-degree group. Adding six more state titles was not easy; juggling academics and taekwondo is no simple task! This tournament season has been the hardest so far, the most challenging and competitive, but at the same time, the most exciting!

Once, someone asked me why I don’t take a break this tournament season, especially since I am already a World Champion and my group is very competitive, with many competitors having been in this group for three years and having much more experience than I do. I firmly responded NO that I am not a quitter; I will never shy away from challenges. On the contrary, I embrace them because they help me grow and improve in what I love.

I may be one of the youngest in this group, but I am determined to always do my best. No matter the results, I will be happy knowing that I gave my all on the mat!
Thank you to my instructor @neriferlu for all the support, encouragement, hours of training for his kindness and all his knowledge of taekwondo , I’m very lucky to have him as my main instructor. To Miss Fernanda for her endless support and encouragement. To my school @w4lballantyne and all my friends who are always supportive. And a big thanks to my family, my parents who invested on me, believe on me, and always be by my side. Next step Districts! 💪🏻🥇🏆 by @ataomarchamp

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there ! Specially to my mom! Mom I want you to know how much you mean to me. Your endless love and support have shaped me into the person I am today. You are my rock and my inspiration, always pushing me to be better and cheering me on every step of the way.

Thank you for every sacrifice you’ve made and for always being there when I need you. We traveled together all year long and I cherish all the memories we’ve created together and look forward to many more.
You are not only my mom, but my biggest cheerleader, my biggest supporter, my coach who pushes me to do better. You juggle so many things between me and my brother’s activities making sure we have all we need.
I love you more than words can express. You truly are the best! ❤️#bestmomever #happymothersday #thankful #momarethebest #mom by @ataomarchamp
