Always pay Viktor Vektor back, or you’re a scrub - I mean - a broke gonk as they say in Night City.
.
I finished my first play through of Cyberpunk 2077 late last year and the character that really stuck with me was this guy Viktor Vektor. In a city where everyone’s in it for themselves, this guy saves your life and lends you 21000 eddies no problem. Paying him back was one of the first things I did as soon as I got the money in the bank. Bro is a priority - some upgrades and cars can wait.
.
Anywho~~ I wanted to cosplay as Lady Vik at AX because Vik is a real one. I really enjoyed this build and came out to be my comfiest cosplay! I’m proud and super happy with how it turned out, especially the Exoglove; held up 2 days at the con on top of getting tossed at the pit at Afterpunk.
I wanted to get photos that calls back to visiting Vik’s clinic with the red lighting & basement garage vibes, and @atarashii.foto really said “say less, choom” 💥💥💥 thank you!!

Construction began back in January. I've never attempted a mecha/armor cosplay. But I was super inspired from seeing mecha cosplayers last year to finally try, and the one I so badly wanted to bring to life was Gunvarrel from Robotics;Notes. Through the trial and error, I rewatched the anime again and finally played through Elite/DaSH. It was a special journey because it felt like going through my own version of The Let's Build A Life-Sized Gunvarrel Project. So of course, I brought Aki and TanegashiMachine Advance along, finally making it to the (Anime) Expo. 🚀

"Someone said it was a battle to save the world from a cruel fate. Someone said all hope for the future of humankind rested squarely on our shoulders. But I don't care about any of that stuff. That's not why I'm here..."

Huge thanks to @atarashii.foto for these awesome shots! It's always a great experience working with someone so talented, and he really captured Gunvarrel so awesomely and I can't wait to work with you again! One of the best photographers I know! Jakiin!!
