Jacob Reed and Me is an investigative comedy docuseries blending the heart of Heavyweight with the goose chase of Mystery Show. In each episode, host Jacob Reed (Jimmy Kimmel Live, Funny or Die) tracks down someone who shares his name. And, to answer the big questions about his own life, Jacob finds common ground in wildly different places.

What begins as a simple search quickly unravels into bizarre, unexpected adventures as Reed uses unconventional methods to track down his namesakes. Among the 751 Jacob Reeds he’s discovered, Season 1 introduces the audience to a porn star, a teacher, a jazz drummer, an Italian impresario, a teenage crooner, and a waitress at a greasy spoon who wants absolutely nothing to do with us. Each encounter opens a window into a strange corner of the world, blending personal discovery with wild, unpredictable storytelling, as moving as it is hilarious.

Season 1 begins February 25th. Listen wherever you get podcasts. And, get early episodes at JacobReedAndMe.com

You know that box under your bed or in your closet with all the stuff from your ex you aren’t ready to throw away yet?

Well, when you’re ready… you can donate it to The Shoebox Museum (from @drownedout_productions). They collect remnants of relationships and invite audiences to explore their archives. This is a delightful immersive experience I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or has ever ended a relationship.

It’s small, but feels big; like it’s punching above its weight class. The immersive equivalent of a good solo show.

Thanks to @cuso_art and @mattmazany for giving me a preview and letting me peek under the hood afterward. Highly recommend.

All eight episodes of @jacobreedandme are now available wherever you listen to podcasts. If enough people listen to and talk about the show maybe we get to make a season two. I hope that happens. It’s very hard to make an indie podcast with no financial support.

And it wouldn’t have been possible at all without @dannyomalley.film @christophergeorgekelly @margotleitman @danielwaltermusic @sofi.pascua @sophh_o.zip @quinnjennings89 @musicbymeaston and all of the other people who put hundreds to thousands to maybe even tens of thousands of hours into this labor of love. I will add more tags when my Internet isn’t as shitty. Also my wife @misshezah who had to listen to me talk about this for years. by @atcletsjam
