29/06/25 ~ My First exhibition 💫✨ Grateful to have shared my work on Black hair, beauty, and adornment in such a fitting space — @cabeleira.barber barbershop. So happy to have shown this body of work for the first time since graduating, bringing earlier pieces into dialogue with newer ones. Thank you to the lovely @_.teeyaa and @originalxcreation for the opportunity and to my friends who came through with love and support 🥰🫶🏾💕 🇫🇷 29/06/25 ~ Ma première exposition 💫✨ Tellement reconnaissante d’avoir pu partagé mon travail autour des cheveux noirs, de la beauté et des pratiques d’ornementation dans un lieu si juste — le barbershop @cabeleira.barber.
EN ☆ Baoulé Stool, version 2, research through form (recycled jersey yarn on steel, 50x30x37cm). ☆ Inspired by the traditional Baoulé stool carved from a single block of wood. Originally a royal throne, the Akan stool became an everyday object amongst all the Akan ethnic group (including the Baoulé of Ivory Coast). ☆We sit on the throne and get our crown braided, thus the braids of our hair structure the seat. . . . #design #Stool #baouléstool #akanstool #assise #seat #blackdesigner #Baoulé #blackhair #ateliercharkaay by @atelier.charkaay
