Getting back to one of the best forms of escape for me, painting/ drawing on 36x48. I have been experimenting with oil pastels and then wearing two cloth gloves on one hand to smudge the oil and help create an almost vintage effect to the canvas.

First we cut the orange rectangle , then we cut the letters out of yellow on a piece that aligns with the pattern on the orange. The letters are then applied and spaced carefully to try and flow with the pattern behind best as possible . The whole piece is then sewn onto the front of the hat. From afar you can’t tell if the rectangle is one dimension or three like it is actually.
