Friday in the atelier… another week down… you probably can’t see the exhaustion on my face but I’m tired 😂 it’s been a big one. To be honest it’s been a big year, so many seismic shifts in the industries I work in. Changes in culture, changes in tech… I feel like we are at the sharp end of the hockey stick with a thousand miles an hour of rapid advancement. I wonder what next year brings. We’re getting close nearly time to wrap this one up. Whatever you’re doing, do it well!

Deep in the heart of Alsace lies @yonahotel a masterclass in modern architecture and sensory design. Inspired by the sunken Yonaguni monument, this 2,500 m² labyrinth blends raw stone, vertical timber, and over 100 aquatic elements into an entirely different world.

Outside: classic Alsatian vineyards. Inside: pure architectural meditation. Easily one of the most remarkable spa builds in Europe.

Sunrise in Paris 18, Montmartre. An easy 7:27am call time. Before the crowds arrive, the cobbled streets, pastel facades, and quiet staircases belong entirely to you. Positioned up in the 18th arrondissement on the city’s highest hill, it’s hands down one of the best sunrise spots in all of Paris.

Quick breakdown for morning photography:
Blue Hour: Head straight to the base of Sacre-Cœur or La Maison Rose. The ambient streetlights against the deep blue sky give you that iconic, moody Parisian aesthetic without a single tourist in your frame.

Golden Hour: Walk around to the front steps of Sacre-Cœur as the sun breaks the horizon. The directional light hits the white travertine stone and casts incredible long shadows across the cobblestones on Rue de l’Abreuvoir.

Hit Square Louise Michel looking up at the basilica while the morning mist is still settling the backlight through the trees is effortless.

Set the alarm. The coffee can wait; the light won’t.

Diving into Montmartre in Paris and exploring the 9th has been a dream. Especially visiting @sound.and.coffee and @moulinrougeofficiel and strolling around finding great coffee and vinyl stores. 🇫🇷👌🏼 taken in Montmartre by @ateliermaccoll
