Lapinlahti belongs to everyone. Tell the decision-makers yourself, in your own name, by Thursday 17 September.

The officials’ draft plan would give most of the main building to a single company as its headquarters. The Venetsia House and Helsinki’s oldest working public sauna would be sold. The City Board can send the plan back for rework.

Write to the decision-makers!

The single most useful thing you can do. About three minutes.

- Open the campaign page here and scroll to Act now.

- Add one or two sentences of your own to the ready-made message: what Lapinlahti means to you. Short messages work best.

- Sign it with your own name and write your neighbourhood.

- Send. It goes to the members and deputy members of the City Board.

Tässä ryhmänäyttelyssä on esillä maalauksia, valokuvia, grafiikkaa, installaatioita ja videoanimaatioita taiteilijoilta Zina Marpegan, sveta tamara valentina, Joona Möttö, Anna Kobierska, Olga Gavrina, Alejandro Ramirez ja Karoliina Pärnänen.

Taiteilijat työskentelevät Ateljee10:ssä, joka on vuonna 2020 perustettu luova työtila entisen Lapinlahden sairaalan toisessa kerroksessa. Näyttely kokoaa yhteen Ateljee10:n taiteilijoiden monipuoliset ilmaisut, joita yhdistävät yhteinen työtila ja jaettu arki Lapinlahdessa.

This group exhibition showcases paintings, photos, prints, installations, and video animations by Zina Marpegan, sveta tamara valentina, Joona Möttö, Anna Kobierska, Olga Gavrina, Alejandro Ramirez and Karoliina Pärnänen.

The artists are part of Ateljee10, a creative space founded in 2020 on the second floor of the former Lapinlahti hospital. The exhibition celebrates the distinct voices of the artists, united by a shared creative space of Ateljee10.

If you’ve ever walked through the old Lapinlahti hospital grounds, you know there’s a specific kind of quiet there: the kind that actually lets you get work done. We have a desk free in Ateljee 10, and we’re looking for someone new to join our little community.

The workspace itself is in the old head physician’s apartment. It’s got those massive windows, high ceilings, and that incredible natural light that makes even a long Tuesday feel a bit better. You’re surrounded by parkland and the sea, so when your brain hits a wall, you can just step outside for a walk or swim in the sea(one of the oldest sauna in the city is nearby).

It’s a mix of international creative professionals: photographers, writers, researchers, and artists. It’s social if you want it to be, but it’s mostly a place where people actually show up to focus on their craft. Also a center of great events happening, e.g. @lapinlahtifilmfestival @mental_hyg1ene by @ateljee10

Ateljeen taiteilijaesittely 6: sveta @svet.jpg

Heipsu! liityin Ateljee10:een kesäkuussa. Omissa tekemisissä keskityn tutkimaan ja sen pohjalta luomaan erilaisia teoksia. Tykkään leikkiä erilaisten materiaalien kanssa ja pyrin löytämään niille uusia käyttötarkoituksia.

Ateljee10 on ollut inspiroiva ympäristö ja ihana paikka tutkia ja taiteilla, unohtamatta meidän upeaa taiteellista yhteisöä ❤️

Työhuonepaikkoja vapaana! Lapinlahden historiallisessa mielisairaalassa sijaitseva Ateljee10 on luova työtila, joka sijaitsee ylilääkärin tilavassa ja valoisassa asuinhuoneistossa. Meiltä löytyy valokuvausstudio, yhteinen olohuone ja terapiakoira Oili 🧡 Tila sopii työskentelyyn valokuvaajille, kirjoittajille, graafikoille, tutkijoille, taiteilijoille yms... Ateljeen taiteilijaesittely 4: Laura Paukkonen @lauraliiceramics

Moi, olen Itä-Helsingissä asuva tuore Ateljee 10 jäsen. Teen pääasiassa keramiikkareliefejä Rut Brykin tekniikalla, jossa apuna käytetään kaiverrettua kipsimuottia. Lähestyn teoksia yleensä prosessin ja tekniikan kautta. Inspiraatiot kuva-aiheisiin syntyvät arkisista hetkistä tai usein myös hyvin henkilökohtaisista kokemuksista esimerkiksi naiseuteen liittyen.  
Keramiikassa parasta on tietty sattumanvaraisuus, mahdollisuus päästää irti kontrollista ja antaa prosessin viedä. Vaikka kipsimuotti-tekniikassa on mahdollista monistettavuus, jokainen teos on uniikki ja jokaisen reliefin värimaailma on ainutlaatuinen.   PS.
