"Tell me about yourself" showed up in 73 of 951 real interview reports. Most freshers answer it the same weak way.

Weak: marks, college name, hobbies, "hardworking". The interviewer already has your resume.
Strong: present, proof, future. About 90 seconds.
No internship? A project and a skill you're deep in count as proof.
End on your future line and tie it to the company. Stop talking.
Names and projects in the slides are examples. Write yours and time it.

Free sites are useless without a prompt.

Here are 6 free sites (shadcn/ui, Lucide, Google Fonts, Magic UI, unDraw + Haikei, Vercel) with the full prompt for each. Every slide also shows what lands in your project: file names, component names, import lines.

Tip: ask for ONE component or ONE icon set per prompt. Short, specific prompts give cleaner code than 'make it pretty'.

Fonts, icon names and colors in the slides are examples. Swap in your own.

"SQL joins" was in 77 of 951 real interview reports, and they usually ask you to write one on the spot.

INNER JOIN: only rows that match in both tables.
LEFT JOIN: every row from the left table, NULL where the right has no match.
RIGHT JOIN: the mirror. Most people just swap the tables and use LEFT.
Two gotchas: NULL never equals NULL (use IS NULL), and joining one-to-many repeats rows, so count with COUNT(DISTINCT id).
Say the example out loud: "Karan has no department, so LEFT keeps him."

Most mock interviews fail because the questions are random and nobody scores you.

This prompt makes Claude ask one question at a time, wait, score you /10 on clarity, depth and examples, rewrite your answer better, and track your weak areas. The full prompt is on slides 2 and 3.

Tip: always give it the exact role and company type. 'Backend intern at a startup' gets very different questions than 'SDE at a bank'.

Examples in the carousel are samples, not real sessions.

"Walk me through your project" was asked in 106 of 951 real interview reports. Here is a full answer you can copy.

Order: problem, your role, stack and why, hardest part, result. About 75 seconds out loud.
Say "I", not "we". Name the piece you personally built.
Give a real reason for every tech choice. "Why this database?" is the next question, every time.
Pick one specific bug and say exactly how you fixed it. Use a number from your own project.
The sample project in the slides (expense tracker) is an example. Swap in your own.

I read 951 real interview reports from the last two placement seasons. The most asked question wasn't DSA.

It was "walk me through your project". And 4 of the top 5 aren't coding questions at all.

This Saturday at 7pm, Arun and I are going live to go through them. I bring the questions, he tells you what a good answer sounds like from the other side of the table. ₹9.

The posting doesn't list a stipend or a deadline, and roles like this can close any time, so apply early.
You need a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Math or a related field, and you should be able to code from side projects or classwork. Open source or team projects are a plus, and you should know how to use AI tools sensibly.
Tip: put your GitHub link and 1-2 good projects on your resume.
