Powdery mildew can move fast. Once those telltale white patches appear, spores may already be spreading throughout your garden.

This fungal disease can develop across leaves, stems, and buds, with early signs including pale spots, puckering, or dull patches before the familiar white, powdery growth becomes obvious. Spores can travel through the air, on workers, and on tools, making early detection, sanitation, and consistent scouting especially important.

Knowing the early signs is the first step toward staying ahead of it.

The Integrated Pest Management Guide breaks down common cultivation threats, how to recognize them, where to scout, and the strategies available to manage disease pressure throughout your facility.

For a complete look at every stage, find the full Athena Tissue Culture procedure on our Growers Hub.

Preserve what matters.

Foliar aphids don’t waste much time. Their ability to reproduce rapidly and develop winged forms means a small population can turn into a much bigger problem if left unchecked.

These sap feeding pests tend to gather on leaves, stems, and new growth, where feeding can lead to curled leaves, distorted growth, and declining plant health. Regular scouting makes it easier to spot colonies and plant damage before populations have a chance to spread.

Knowing the signs and where to look is the first step toward staying ahead of them.

The Integrated Pest Management Guide breaks down common cultivation threats, how to recognize them, where to scout, and the cultural, chemical, and biological strategies available to manage pest pressure throughout your facility.

“Who’s driving the tractor is what separates a good crop from a great crop.”

That mindset shows throughout this Virginia field from @stellas_stash and @hempiddy. They’re using Pro Line in mulch beds, with aisles wide enough to run the tractor through.

Built with intention. Driven by experience.

Whiteflies may be small, but they can spread quickly and become a persistent problem in your garden.

These tiny, moth-like pests gather on leaf undersides, where adults, eggs, larvae, and pupae can easily go unnoticed. Their mobility and rapid life cycle can allow populations to build quickly, making consistent monitoring and early identification key to staying ahead of an infestation.

Knowing where to look and what to look for is the first step toward effective control.

@headynewz showing the garden under far-red before lights out.

Some cultivators finish the photoperiod with far red as part of their lighting strategy. Red light is highly efficient for photosynthesis and can help maximize the final part of the day, while also supporting strong flower development and stacking.

Far red plays a different role by signaling the plant that the day is ending, helping it transition into its nighttime physiology.

Every cultivation decision has a purpose. Understanding the "why" is what separates following trends from building a repeatable process.

Have you noticed a difference in flower development when using far-red at the end of the photoperiod, or do you prefer to keep your lighting consistent?

@sippin_jay keeping propagation simple.

Unlike traditional rooting gels that require dipping each cutting individually, Cuts is designed to be applied directly into your propagation media before the clone is inserted.

This application method helps create a cleaner workspace, provides a more consistent application across every cutting, reduces the potential for cross contamination, and keeps propagation moving efficiently especially when you're processing a large number of clones.

Simple. Consistent. Built for propagation.
