But how many times have you tried asking? 💗

Here’s what I’d suggest if your husband/partner doesn’t want a “girly” house-
-Explain how important it is to you.
-Try adding items just to your areas (night stand, vanity, etc.)
-Buy a few affordable items to test out. A pillow cover, grocery store blooms, books with colorful spines

Talking through things and then showing how much you appreciate they’re willing to try it out might go far!

My opinion is that society has really sold a pink or floral house as scary. When it’s done right, it’s actually cozy and happy. So try! Don’t give up! 🥰

Isn’t a dollhouse so much better to look at than a black robot vacuum chamber?! 🏠😇🎀

We got a new robot vacuum and I really wanted to hide it. So I thought of my dream scenario. And a dollhouse as a vacuum garage made so much sense! lol

The best part is the roof comes off to store the extra vacuum supplies! by @athomewithashley

This dollhouse isn’t for playing with, it’s to house a vacuum! 🏡

Introducing the Dreame x60 Max Ultra Complete. AKA the cleaning solution I desperately need.
I painted my floors gingham, but now they’re always dirty!

So having a vacuum that’ll clean on its own is life changing! 🫧
It can handle big messes like dog fur and spilled cereal.
It mops so where it was constantly dirty, it’s now sparkling clean!

I’m so excited to free up some of my time AND have cleaner floors thanks to @dreame.usa! ✨

Do you want your light switch to disappear when using wallpaper? 🤗

I found a light switch cover specifically for wallpaper! It’s super easy to install too! Here’s what you do-

-remove old light switch cover 🪛
-trace the desired section of wallpaper with the template ✏️
-cut it out ✂️
-install the base of the new light switch cover 🪛
-place the piece of wallpaper behind the clear plastic top plate ▫️
-pop into place! 🌸

I’ve used glue to cover a normal light switch cover with wallpaper. It works, but it’s a pain to do.

And with this method, the wallpaper by the switch (a high touch area) is protected. And it’s much faster to install!

Would you try this?

- It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown 🎃
- Corpse Bride 👰🏻
- Double double toil and trouble 🧙🏻‍♀️
- Frankenweenie 🐕

Not my husband renting a boom so he can hang gingerbread trim on our house 🥹🩷

He put back up the giant bow too! 🎀

I’ve been wanting this trim for years. Doesn’t it add so much to the house?! I originally had wanted to paint it pink, but it’s so high, paint touch ups would’ve been a pain, so it’s white. by @athomewithashley

Every Halloween porch needs a little magic after dark 🧙🏻‍♀️✨

I wanted to make a pumpkin arch. But at night you couldn’t even see it.

Enter the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro!

They were very easy to install- they plug in and then you place the lights.

And they make such a difference! The lights highlight the architecture on my cute house.

Plus they bring the Halloween decor to life. 🎃

I love how customizable they are! You can change the colors for each holiday or for game days or birthdays.

I’m excited to keep using these all year! Especially for trick or treating!

What’s your favorite part of the Halloween porch makeover? 🦇

#ad Too much color is never a problem in this house! 🏡

I’m so excited to share the @sherwinwilliams 2027 Color of the Year- Celery SW 6421!

It’s an airy pastel that’s a muted green with subtle yellow undertones. I love how calm and approachable it is!

For years, the suggestion has been use white walls with colorful decor so the colors pop. 🌈

But I’ve been getting sick of my sterile white walls. They feel cold when I want cozy and interesting.

So I’m slowly painting all my white walls a fun color! And I actually think it works better with color!

O was worried about trying it out on my rainbow stairs wall, but I think it’s beautiful! What do you think? Are you ready to ditch the old white walls trend with me? by @athomewithashley
