S was fighting sleep, the sleeping bag and climbing the cot... so it was time for an upgrade! Showed her pictures, got her involved in taking the cot down and sold her the dream of a big girl bed... before realising we didn't have some vital screws to make it into a bed. A few nights on a floor mattress before we could do the big reveal for her! She was incredibly excited by all of it.

This room used to have a gorgeous glider chair and bedside table, perfect for a tired parent to sit on and their brew... but she's tried to climb them too 🙈 . Looking forward to adding some more bits back in when we can decide what's safe enough for this little monkey.

Time to move from a cot to a bed for our little climber. This made me feel alllll of the feels. Where is the time going?!

A chilled (but not remotely restful) weekend reading lots of books, doing lots of laundry, sorting out a certain toddlers room for her 'big girl bed' before realising we were missing some vital screws. Mattress on the floor was more than exciting enough for her though, she was so done with her cot. Very much in the independent sassy stage of toddlerhood. Terrible? It's a 'still in your pjs...dance party in the living room... colouring in... solo parenting' kinda day over here. Sometimes you have to remind yourselves you don't have to go anywhere to have fun! S is obsessed with Maisy Mouse and telling me the names of all the colours so this is a pretty perfect activity for her 😍

Instagram: lovely cheeseboard in the air bnb in the Cotswolds...
Reality... eaten at 9.30pm after the little one had finally gone to sleep, accompanied by 0% red wine as I've recently started ADHD meds so not drinking (McGuigan 0... not bad but a bit fizzy!), accompanied by a particularly uninspiring episode of Taskmaster (one of our usual faves) and it was just all a bit crap! We like our cheese stinky and strong and none of this was. Best thing was the jalapeño cheddar from Aldi.

But you know, I spent time trying to make it look nice for our cosy night in 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wish I found it as fun and easy to put together outfits for myself!

S had 2 parties yesterday, which completely warrants 2 outfits... this little denim jacket got lots of compliments and whilst I'm not a frilly dress girl there is just something about a frilly sock. Obsessed with her new trainers too.
