SIGNED 2025 S/CB ANTHONY THORNTON😤

The contract with Helsinki Roosters and Denzel Washington has been voided and we wish him all the best in the future.

And therefore we are excited to announce that we have now signed our new import safety Anthony Thornton from Presbyterian College (D1 FCS). Before that Anthony played in Wagner (D1 FCS)

Timi Tuominen, our DC, shared his thoughts:

“The situation with Denzel is unfortunate but i wish nothing but the best for him in the future.

Anthony is a good friend of our LB Alex and Anthony’s film and personality caught me instantly. He brings ELITE speed and football IQ to our defensive backfield. There is alot of synergy having a good football programs two best defensive players from past two years reunite here.”

Anthony’s thoughts: “Truly blessed for the opportunity to join the Helsinki Roosters. Thank you to my family, friends and many others who have helped me get to this point. Can’t wait to continue to play the game I love and let’s go win another championship!!”

Welcome to the Roosters, Anthony🙂‍↕️
