✨ A Night of Light, Words & Belonging ✨

We were honored to host a beautiful book launch at our CEO’s home, celebrating the incredible achievement of seven young refugee writers who poured their hearts into stories inspired by the timeless verses of the Quran about kindness to all of Allah’s creations. 🌙📖

Each story is a reflection of kindness and compassion to Allah’s creatures, a reminder that even through hardship, hearts can shine with mercy and creativity. Watching these young authors share their work was a powerful testament to courage, faith, and the transformative power of storytelling.

In this blessed month of Ramadan, may we all be inspired by their example. Reach out to someone who may be feeling isolated or alone. Offer kindness. Create belonging. A small act of compassion can reflect the most beautiful verses in action. 🤍

The Diary of a Muslim Founder:

Something very special happened last night!

Alhumdolillah.🤍

Last night, I had the honour of receiving the Global 100 Influential Muslims 2026 award, voted by EqualityX, at a beautiful award ceremony hosted at Morgan Stanley.

A heartfelt thanks firstly to the Most Generous and Kind who is the Owner of all that I have been blessed with, Allah.

And thanks to all the judges and the founder of EqualityX, Zaheer Ahmad, for this recognition.

Last year, I was genuinely surprised to be recognised among the Top 50 Most Influential Muslims in Europe, to now be recognised on a global level is deeply moving and incredibly humbling. ☺️

The journey has not always been easy and at times, excruciatingly painful but I certainly did not walk it alone.

Behind every milestone are people who believed in me, encouraged me, opened doors, made introductions, shared advice, prayed for me, and, spoke for me in rooms I was not in and perhaps most importantly, gave me their time.

As someone who has worked largely as a volunteer to achieve many of the milestones I’ve been blessed with, I learned that the most valuable forms of sadaqah we can give is our TIME because it is finite.

Money can be earned again. Opportunities come and go. But once a moment of our life has passed, we can never get it back.

And I’ve learned that when time is given sincerely, for the sake of Allah and for the sake of serving others, Allah places barakah in it.

SubhanAllah.😊

Allah expands what feels like minutes, multiplies the impact of small acts, and allows that barakah to ripple into every aspect of our lives.

So, my biggest thank you is to those who gave me their time sincerely, generously and unconditionally, for the sake of Allah and for the sake of those we serve without expecting anything in return.

You may never fully know the impact of what you gave, but I carry it with me.

This recognition may have my name on the plaque, but it belongs to everyone who has walked alongside me.

Alhamdulillah 🤍

May Allah accept it from all of us, put barakah in our time, and allow whatever we do to leave an impact long after we are gone. Ameen. 🤲🏽 by @atialokhat

Loving from afar, helping where we can. 🤲💙

Shaykh Omar Suleiman reminds us of the Quran’s call to see the pain around us—not just near, but far. The ummah is one body, and when one part hurts, we all feel it. 🌍💔

Zubeda Welcome embodies this spirit by helping refugee children find safety, support, and hope as they rebuild their lives. If we have the means to help, we should. Whether through action, prayer, or support, our love and care know no borders. Because helping isn’t just about proximity—it’s about the heart we extend to those in need, wherever they may be.

The Diary of a Muslim Founder 🤍

Alhumdolillah, I had the pleasure of celebrating 10 years of @muslimwomenconnect this weekend. 🤍

Such a joy to walk into a room filled with inspiring, wholesome women, old friends and new. So many highlights, but more on those when I catch up with my backlog! 😂

For now, another Tahajjud Conversations impact story… Hifsa was CHOSEN! Alhumdolillah!!!

Masha’Allah, Hifsa and I met a few months ago at the @consortiumnetwork Leaders Summit, where I mentioned my podcast. Yesterday, she excitedly updated me on her TC journey. With her permission, I will share….

She’d recently received some difficult news and told me that, had she not started Tahajjud when we spoke, she doesn’t think she would have handled it as well.

How do you react when the truth challenges your self-image?

Do you fight or flee or accept it with humility and strive to change and put things right? For those who humble themselves, acknowledge their faults, and sincerely work to improve, there is great love from Allah.

And if you recognise yourself in this, don’t give up hope. The door to change and repentance is always open.

📖 Diary of a Muslim Founder | The 99 Names of Allah Challenge 🤍

As part of my 2025 World Quran Awareness Campaign, I launched a “99 Names” theme and this Whistler series is the result!

When music, TV, Netflix and rom-coms no longer interest you… one has to find new hobbies! 😂

Over my time in Whistler, Canada last summer, I challenged myself to use all 99 Names of Allah to make duas. (I tried to break my own record when I did the same challenge in Makkah but sadly the record remains unbroken. Maybe you can try!!!??? 😊)

And yes… I really did make it through all 99 even though some of them disappeared into the iCloud’s! 😂🙈

Apologies in advance, they will be shared in random order and you won’t get to hear all 99 names! But maybe your challenge will be to guess which ones are missing? 😂

This morning a painful blow nearly made me lose sight for a moment. But Allah brought me back to my senses when I opened up my app to read the Quran (instead of carrying on the scrolling), He reminded me in Surah Al-Qasas sometimes Allah brings hope out of situations that feel impossible. We may not understand why certain things are happening, but His plan is always greater than what we can see.

These verses reminded me that trusting Allah doesn’t mean we won’t feel scared, sad or overwhelmed. It means we keep trusting Him through those feelings.

What looks like a setback can actually be part of a much bigger plan. Deep sigh. Calm your heart.
