dump! here is the 2nd volume of recent close-ups that we have cooked up. the first photo is a typed-out version of what the slideshow holds. they will also be listed out underneath!! i've been having some fun just grabbing what's in the fridge & flexing the creative muscles in the body...it's been turning out very well & i appreciate you all's support.💐

chicken curry was a dish that i knew very little about growing up. it was something that my grandmother made for us on sundays & it will forever be stamped as my favorite dish she made. today, it is safe to say that i thoroughly enjoy cooking chicken curry for the family & for myself. here are some different renditions of chicken curry that i've made recently. i must've jinxed sumn because it's chilly now, so maybe no more grilling until next yr. cheers.

at ating mesa, we've been grilling chicken a little bit over the summer. the way it's looking, we may get more grilling thru the year. cheers to that in this thing called global warming.

beautiful people! welcome to ating mesa & the page that supports the collective.

this is the first rendition of the recent close-ups for the ating mesa platform.

these close-ups have been captured from the last month or so & they will include some meals that were cooked for the family & for general consumption.

cheers to more to come. i appreciate the small community that we have created & i am hopeful that this is just the start.

breakfast bagel.

bagel/jammy egg/turkey bacon/raspberry preserves/cream cheese.

lasagna.

pesto/ricotta/tomato.

chicken tortilla soup.

all of the fixings, so i won't harp on all of the ingredients.

glazy carrots.

bourbon/coconut sugar.

soy garlic udon.

by far the best dish in this rendition. if you've ever had a mall near you with the best asian food in the food court, that is what this dish gave. uplifting.

hot lemon pepper wings.

self-explanatory.

tuna melt.

for my people that enjoy the mild breath that tuna lays on your breath after lunch break, this is for y'all. i'm right there with you...a coffee will break it all up, anyway.

sourdoe/tuna salad/havarti.

buffalo chicken dip.

whole chicken/celery/carrot/onion/hot sauce/cream cheese.

* for most of the chicken dishes, a whole chicken was used & carved. to me, it's more conservative because it allows for multiple cuts of meat & it saves you a couple bucks over the course of the week.*

bucatini.

tomato/olive.

@tortello_pastificio in chicago had a wonderful pasta that incorporated some of the same ingredients, so i thought i'd step in the ring & try one of my own. i also will send flowers to @bambambaklava because he also created a similar pasta in his in-studio show on yt.

date & banana bread.

pair with some vanilla ice cream...no more will be said about this loaf. the close-up says everything.

au gratin potatoes.

the heaviest set of potatoes any human will ingest, but there's nothing like it. this is another one of the self-explanatory dishes. iykyk.

cheers to the fall season that is nearing...enjoy some food around good people. soon enough, you all will have chairs at "our table".
