A voicemail to myself ☎️

I applied for a leadership course a few months back & part of the application was to make something creative that shows why you wanna be on the course.

Made a lil film, of course.

I didn't get in, but it was a nice moment to pat myself on the back with where i've got to and a chance to be excited about the future.

Earlier this year marked Tiny’s first anniversary as a B Corp! We understand the industry has its fair share of problems, so we’ve been busy tracking our progress to ensure we’re building a space that creates great work while doing good for people and the planet.

5 years ago, I launched @itstinystudios

But the real story started 10 years ago when I left school with a plan to figure it out as a freelance videographer (having had a love of filmmaking and YouTube since I was 11 - v glad those music videos didn't make it in this)

People often ask me what the journey of building Tiny has looked like, so here's a take of 'my life in looks' and I have to say, looking back on it all does make me proud 🥹

To everyone who has supported me, Tiny, and our team along the way, in any little way, thank you. You really are what keeps the Tiny ship sailing.

Can you believe it’s been 5 years of Making Moves and Movies!? 🥳🎂🥹 We’re feeling a liiiiittle bit sentimental so here’s a look back at some of the moments that shaped our community and little glimpse of what’s coming next…

Slide 2 - It all started when @producer.izzy slid into @atinybitofcelia's DMs💌 they bonded over a shared feeling that they rarely worked with other female filmmakers. From this, a seed was planted that they should start to connect as many female filmmakers as they could! 🤝

Slide 3 - So they set up a small WhatsApp group with a handful of female filmmakers they knew and it quickly began to grow, welcoming hundreds more female and non binary members each year. Jobs and opportunities were shared, connections made - and just like that, our wonderful community began to take shape 🚀

Slide 4 - Our meet ups started small, but they have grown over the years. More mixers, more filmmakers, more connections. Now we even host yearly picnics! Every event we put on, we want people to leave feeling positive, energised, and like they made some genuinely lovely connections. ☺️

Slide 5 - Female and non binary filmmakers are too often overlooked in the film industry, so we created the annual MM+M Showcase to celebrate and spotlight the amazing talent in our community 🍿🏆

Slide 6 - Eventually we outgrew whatsapp and moved the MM+M community to Discord where we’ve been thriving ever since. It’s super welcoming, really organised and a great place to connect with the community. If you want to join, the link is in our bio! 🔗👆

Slide 7 - The wonderful @designbyultraviolet joined the MM+M team as our Creative Lead 🫶 She’s brought so much passion, vision and creativity to everything we do - from our visual identity to our branding identity, her fingerprints are all over MM+M ✨

Slide 8 - As the community kept growing, so did our events. We hosted our first ever panel evening 🎤 and a speed networking night - both designed to empower our members creatively and professionally. 🏋🏻‍♀️
