Less than 200 pages, but beyond a lifetime of lessons. 📖❤️

This Teachers’ Day, Tuesdays with Morrie ( published by @hachette_india ) reminded me that the greatest teachers don’t just teach us—they teach us how to live. ✨

A beautiful book about life, love, relationships, kindness, and the lessons that stay with you long after the last page.

Who decided children’s books are only for children?

I’m 11, and I think some stories hit differently when you’re older. You might read a book as a child and enjoy the story. Read it again as an adult, and suddenly, you understand things you didn’t notice before.

Here are 5 books I’d recommend to grown-ups, too!

📖 1. Oh, the Places You’ll Go! — @drseuss , @harpercollinschin

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. This book reminds us that uncertainty, setbacks and unexpected turns are all part of the journey.

📖 2. The Little Prince — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry , @fingerprintbooksindia

A story that invites us to look beyond appearances and think about friendship, love and what truly matters.

📖 3. Charlotte’s Web — E. B. White @puffins_publishers

Friendship, loyalty and kindness never stop mattering, no matter how old we get.

📖 4. The Gita: For Children @roopa.pai , @hachette_india

Thought-provoking lessons about choices, responsibility and wisdom that are worth revisiting at every stage of life.

📖 5. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse — @charliemackesy @penguinrandomhouse

A gentle reminder about kindness, courage, friendship and being compassionate towards ourselves. Because grown-ups need these reminders, too!

Here’s what I think: Children’s books don’t come with an age restriction. Sometimes, they’re even more meaningful when you experience them as an adult.

So, grown-ups, don’t just buy these books for your children. Pick them up for yourselves, too! ❤️

🇮🇳 25 inspiring tribal leaders. Stories that deserve to be heard.

✨ Why read it?
• Discover inspiring tribal leaders of India.
• Learn about courage, determination and extraordinary achievements.
• Explore stories beyond the usual history books.
• Help young readers appreciate India’s diverse communities and heritage.

❤️ My favourite leader? Purna Malavath!

She climbed Mount Everest at just 13 years old! 🏔️ Her determination inspires me to dream big and reminds me that age should never limit our ambitions.

Some books don’t just teach us history; they introduce us to people who change how we see the world.

AGE 9–12 |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
GRAPHIC NOVEL GOLD!

What happens when an ordinary kid has an extraordinarily disastrous week? 😂

Meet Justin Chase, the boy who proves that when life goes wrong, it can ALWAYS get worse!

Justin’s week takes him from one catastrophe to another, but the underground adventures in Friday take the chaos to a whole new level! Imagine being dressed as a chicken and having rats mistake you for actual chicken food. YES, THAT HAPPENS! 🐀🐔

And Justin ending up on television with NO PANTS? I

Perfect for kids who love Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and The Treehouse series.

One warning, though: Justin’s week might make your own Monday feel AMAZING!

What if a spooky midnight adventure led you to a pot of gold… but the real mystery was finding out who it belonged to? 👀🪙

A graveyard, a brass vessel full of gold coins, and three young detectives who refuse to let a mystery stay a mystery! 🕵️‍♀️

The Mystery of the Graveyard Gold by Vidya V, @scholasticindia ,had me hooked with its treasure hunt, familiar Bengaluru locations and a detective club that reminded me of my own childhood adventures!

My favourite? Asha, the curious and determined girl I’d call Hermione 2.0, and the chapter Thinking Like Detectives, which took me straight back to my very own detective club, the Secret Society. ❤️

My verdict? Never underestimate kids. Sometimes, we can do better than adults! 😉

📚 If you love mysteries, secret clues and adventures with friends, this one deserves a spot on your bookshelf! (@charbak )

A little more about the story… 📚✨

Zara, an eleven-year-old girl, is facing a life-changing challenge as she begins losing her eyesight. With an expensive surgery needed within three months, her family is struggling to arrange the money. Just when things seem difficult, she meets Joom, a 2,000-year-old genie who has lost his magical powers and is running away from his evil master!

What follows is an unusual friendship between a young girl dealing with a difficult reality and a genie struggling with his own problems. And when Zara’s father unexpectedly loses his job, their challenges become even bigger.

I loved how the author brings together two completely different worlds through friendship, humour, adventure and unexpected twists.

My biggest takeaways from this book:
❤️ Friendship can give us strength when life gets difficult.
✨ You don’t need magical powers to make a difference in someone’s life.
💛 Hope and courage can come from the most unexpected places.
📖 And sometimes, the most magical things are the relationships we build!

A lovely blend of fantasy and reality that kept me curious till the end! by @atishisreadingchronicles

1 book which GROWS with your child.

Spiritual books will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️ I read all kinds of books, but stories like these have shaped my love for mythology and given me an innate inclination towards exploring books like The Forest of Enchantments, The Palace of Illusions, and other beautiful retellings of our epics.

Stories that we grew up listening to from our grandparents, passed down through generations, have a special kind of magic. They not only create a beautiful connection with our roots but also fill our minds with meaningful thoughts, values and wisdom.

Imagine ending your day with a beautiful story, a heart full of good thoughts and a peaceful mind. Isn’t that a lovely way to drift off to sleep?

Sometimes, the simplest childhood traditions become the most beautiful memories. ❤️

Reading the news isn’t just about knowing what’s happening around us. It’s about discovering things we didn’t know, asking questions we never thought of, and sometimes having the most unexpected conversations!

✨ It gives us something interesting to discuss with our parents and siblings.
✨ It makes us curious about the world beyond our classrooms.
✨ It introduces us to different ways of writing, drawing and expressing ideas.
✨ It helps us discover what children our age are thinking, creating and sharing across the country.
✨ And the best part? Learning doesn’t always have to feel like studying!

With RobinAge arriving every fortnight, there’s always something new to look forward to. They have separate editions for junior and senior readers, and I read the senior edition.

Honestly, my favourite part is when my brother and I pick up the activity supplement and turn it into our own little brainstorming session! 😂

So, if you’re thinking of introducing your child to a newspaper, why not give them one made especially for children?

Because sometimes, one little article can lead to a BIG conversation!
