(Class of 2029) Fuller Carver came in relief for @atl_baseball Gold 16u with some electric stuff during the Underclass WWBA against a top 17u team. Carver is the #7 ranked pitcher in Ga for the 29’ class sitting mid-upper 80s with his fastball and a swing and miss slider. The sophomore came in a big spot and put up a couple of 0s to help keep his team alive.

(Class of 2029) Carter Radics with a good showing in day one of pool play for @atl_baseball 16u in the WWBA Upperclass World Champioship. Radics had everything working today on the mound against a very talent 17u team living in the mid-upper 80s with his FB. The Sophomore also picked up a couple of knocks in the 3 hole to help get the bats going.

We’re always asking the question, “How can I take the normal task and apply pressure to make it game like?”

Here you will see @n0t_langlang.11 running a hard 90 out of the box. Boring to most. Here’s how we make it purposeful:

1. The front part of the base is spray painted red.
2. The phone is timing their 90.
3. A white spray painted line shows them where to break down and find the ball.
4. The coach is working down the line with them, giving them a verbal to stay or go to 2B.

A boring task now has 4 constraints to engage their effort. Practice with purpose >

When we look at improving Chuck Nasty’s path (particularly in the lag position)——we utilize the ball in the back elbow to attack a few things:

1. Creating more space with trail elbow.
2. Helping the barrel stay more inside the hands.
3. Getting trail elbow through the ball.

Bat speed sets the ceiling for what type of hitter you can become.

Hitter: @anthony.agah 🎥

On average he swings the bat at 75 mph, MLB average bat speed is 72 mph, a fast swing rate is one that has 75 mph or more of bat speed.

He possesses the combo of speed and plate discipline which makes him a plus hitter for his age class.
