Yesterday was a special one
Dafydd from Team Ordinary Boys dropped by the 4i office to share their incredible journey from the World’s Toughest Row 2024.

He gave the whole team an honest insight into the highs, the lows, the grit, and the mindset it takes to compete in one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet. From moments of doubt to unforgettable triumphs, their story was nothing short of inspiring.

Day 1 of training ✅
What an incredible way to start our ocean rowing lives! Just a couple of hours out on the sea, socking up some sun and getting in a few miles. It was honestly, incredible!
Happy to say our first launch and recovery were relatively successful bar braking one oar and slightly damaging a little corner of the boat, but this is what learning looks like. It's a painful process at times but we've had a great start!
Huge thank you to everyone that made today happen, especially those from the @scouts and @islandyachtclub. It honestly wouldn't be possible without you. Next time hoping to do a little bit of course plotting and a slightly longer stint out on the oars! But now, it's time for rest!

Wow, what an incredible day at our first promotional event with our boat - Vaquita! Big thank you to #rotaryinternational for allowing us to be a part of the day and share our incredible mission with you all.
From this event I’m proud to say we have booked in two further event as well as potentially booking in a aquarium visit with our boat! It’s absolutely amazing what can happen in a day and we’re honestly so thankful to everyone who has supported us with our journey thus far.

A few people have been asking about our little mean machine - Amber! She was rented to us by the lovely people at @explore_and_snore !
I highly highly recommend their services! This van and their second mean machine (Lance) are an absolute travellers paradise! They’re extremely well equipped. Amber even has this fantastic solar panel on top of her so that we don’t require any electric hook ups, saving us both time and money whilst we explore the wild cost of Ireland! Check them out and give them a follow! Hopefully you’ll be adventuring with them very soon!
