For me and our team, this wasn’t just another tournament. it was the culmination of three and a half years of work in Canada. The guys who started with zero boxing experience are now the best in the province. Of our five athletes @tunaacikkaya @princepraiz_ @saynoq @matteo.thelion , we brought home three gold medals 🥇, one silver 🥈, and one bronze 🥉. I’ve also been nominated for Coach of the Year 2026! 😉🥊 Four of our boxers have earned spots on the provincial team and will go on to compete at the Canadian Championships. If 4 more of my boxers who are from Ukraine @ostap_manzula @kochergan_andrii @the_marki2004 @sht_eugene had been able to participate, we would have won another four gold medals. I want to thank all the athletes and coaches @cheat_codes23 on our @atlas_boxing team for their hard work, as well as everyone at our club for this achievement. Today began with a wonderful surprise . I was named Ontario’s Coach of the Year 2026 🏆

This isn’t just an award; it’s a reflection of my work in Canada. Thank you to Boxing Ontario @boxingontario and to everyone who voted for me. This trophy means a great deal to me and my @atlas_boxing team. A special thank you to all the coaches for your support and congratulations it truly made my day!

It’s another reminder: when you love what you do and give it everything, the results will come.

Does working on pads just once a week actually make sense?

The short answer: yes, if it’s part of a system.

What pad work gives you:
✅ Punch accuracy and timing
✅ Reaction and defense
✅ A sense of distance and rhythm
✅ Explosive endurance. 🥊Once a week.
