Hello hello hello my dears! Guess what. I am back from Atlanta all the way from Panama to come out of retirement. I could not sit still. I returned to do what I do best….farming & gardening. Here is my personal interview about how this passion of mine pulled me back to Atlanta away from the beaches, fruits, and only a few hours away from Jamaica. by @atlgardenqueen

Not every meeting happens at a desk.

Not every strategy session happens in a conference room.

Some of the most important conversations happen on the ground, in the community, walking the land, visiting a site, or simply taking the time to see what is actually happening.

Leadership requires proximity.

You cannot build sustainable solutions for people and communities if you never get close enough to understand the environment, the resources, the challenges, and the opportunities that already exist.

Some days my work involves governments, businesses, international partnerships, and major projects.

Other days, it looks like standing in a garden talking about food, health, sustainability, community, and what can be built right where we are.

It is all connected.

People. Partnerships. Progress.

The setting may change, but the work is still the same: turning vision into something useful, sustainable, and real.

🌿 Honoring Mama Haylene Green for the Environmental Excellence Award

We are beyond proud to celebrate Mama Haylene Green, the Garden Queen, and the West End Community Urban Garden! 🌱👑

Mama Haylene has been selected to receive the Fulton County Citizens Commission on the Environment Award for Environmental Excellence in District 4.

This special recognition honors her continued commitment to environmental stewardship, urban gardening, food cultivation, community education, and the preservation of knowledge rooted in the land.

For decades, Mama Haylene has been tending more than a garden she has been tending community. Through her work, seeds become food, gardens become classrooms, and generations are reminded of the relationship between people, land, culture, and sustainability.

This recognition is a beautiful acknowledgment of what the Garden Queen has been cultivating all along knowledge, nourishment, stewardship, and legacy.

Congratulations, Mama Haylene Green! 👑🌱

The roots run deep.
The work continues.
And now, the garden is being recognized beyond its gates.

Help us celebrate the Garden Queen! 🌿
