Blessings come in amazing ways. Not only did a couple of our catchers get the opportunity to talk to an amazing mentor and player (@brady_eklund89) about his journey through baseball. Brady also restrung their catching mitts during his college summer league all-star game. Taking the time out to inspire and impact young lives, while his very own is still going on. Truly an amazing young player with an even better family. Thank you so much, Brady! by @atlmetromlsa

🏆 S/O to our 16u team for the finalist PG Summer Showdown trophy! The boys had to win 3 games in one day just to win the championship. It’s hard to teach effort and heart. Stay consistent boys! ⚾ Winning Beyond the Scoreboard ⚾Today, Apollo Sports Counseling had the opportunity to speak with a great group of young athletes at the ATL Metro MLSA Summer Baseball Camp. A huge thank you to Coach John Hollins, Coach Jordan Hollins, Coach Bert Strane, and the entire camp staff for allowing us to pour into the next generation.Eyon Everett shared his personal journey and how baseball helped shape him into the person he is today, showing the athletes that challenges can become opportunities for growth.Damien Traylor spoke about lessons learned from coaches and teammates and reminded the athletes that in baseball, if you fail 7 out of 10 times, you’re still considered one of the best. Failure isn’t something to fear—it’s part of the process.BJ Armstead led an activity using a tennis ball and an egg to teach resilience. When life knocks you down, will you break like the egg or bounce back like the tennis ball? The lesson was simple: setbacks are inevitable, but resilience is a choice.These young athletes are just beginning their journeys, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to teach lessons that extend far beyond baseball.The scoreboard measures performance.
