“Untitled, 346” is a unique iPad drawing which was one of 4 unique fleural vase images included as part of the Art Edition of “A Bigger Book”. Each delivers a magnificent showcase of Hockney’s expansive monograph. Each ink-jet print, is a product of Hockney’s renowned iPad artistry, crafted meticulously under his guidance at his studio in Los Angeles. This radiant depiction centres around a collection of pink tulips arranged in a vase, a piece from Hockney’s illustrious flower series created using the iPad and iPhone. As Hockney eloquently says, “The enchantment one finds in an iPad mirrors that of traditional tools like pencils, pens, or brushes.”

A Bigger Book is a majestic visual survey of David Hockney’s art. In it, Hockney takes stock of more than 60 years of work, from his teenage days at art school up to his recent extensive series of portraits, iPad drawings, and Yorkshire landscapes. Never before has Hockney’s oeuvre been published in such scope, with such investment from the artist, and on such an astonishing, immersive scale.

@hoookart is showcasing his latest body of work titled ‘Electric Paintings’/ ‘Drawings from Somewhere Else’ at @clarendonfineartofficial Dover Street, Mayfair (PV tonight)

Christian’s work fuses historical references with contemporary flare. Often breaking down realistic visuals, utilising strategic brushstrokes of colour and texture to produce portraits of humans and animals that exude energy, power and movement.

I have had the pleasure of helping place many of his most important works in collections all over the world including the now available artwork shown. (Details below).

Outside of the @friezeofficial bubble, I paid a delayed visit to one my favourite artists @deanfoxart innaugural solo show that just launched at the highly esteemed @matt_careywilliams gallery in Connaught Village.

Having the pleasure of briefly working with Dean in a past gallery, the creative progression in his latest body work for scene VI; ‘dreams of pathways home’, is nothing short of breathtaking!

Under the brilliant guidance of Matt, it is clear Deans new found confidence breaks apart historical context, honours the post impressionist constructs of Vuillard, yet its soul it is purely contemporary in its form and composition. Definitely not one to miss and I couldn’t be more excited to follow his journey to where it goes next.

(V late to this but) huge congratulations to @ryan_schneider_ for your latest presentation ‘Nocturna’ @alminerech New York running until Aug 2 2024.

I have always been a big fan of Ryan’s multidisciplinary work in particular his chainsaw sculptures. Each a clear inspired reaction to his studio surroundings in Joshua Tree, CA. These pieces act as an extension to this environment whilst being deeply rooted in the traditions of ancient and indigenous art with Cubist and German expressionism foundations.

His work is held in public and private collections worldwide, including the Palm Springs Museum of Art, the Xiao Museum of Contemporary Art, The Hall Art Foundation, Marquez Family Collection, and the Capital One Collection. Among other publications, his work has been reviewed or featured in Frieze, The New Yorker, Art in America, The Brooklyn Rail, Juxtapoz, ArtForum, and The Paris Review. His first European solo institutional exhibition will occur at Les Musées de la Citadelle in Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France, in 2025.
