Hello everyone! I wanted to give you an update on how Atomic Polish is navigating these new tariffs.

As many of you know, we’re a dual-country company. For the past year, we’ve been manufacturing our products in Minnesota and importing inventory into our Manitoba warehouse.

Unfortunately, beauty products are now subject to a 50% tariff, which makes importing our products into Canada significantly more expensive. After looking at our options, we’ve decided that the most economical long-term solution is to begin doing some light manufacturing right here in Manitoba.

This will also allow us to build a more stable Canadian inventory, rather than relying on me to travel to Minnesota and bring inventory across the border.

Please bear with us while we figure out this transition. Some of our formulas require heavy-duty mixing equipment, which is an investment we’ll need to save for. In the meantime, our Canadian inventory will be limited to what we’ve already imported.

🇨🇦 Canadian customers: When shopping from Canada, you’ll only see products that are currently in stock in our Manitoba warehouse. These products have already been imported into Canada, so there will be no additional tariffs or customs charges when you order. All Canadian orders will ship domestically via Purolator or UPS Ground.

🇺🇸 U.S. customers: Not much will change immediately. We’ve been absorbing the rising costs of materials and the tariffs on our raw materials for quite some time, but unfortunately, that isn’t sustainable for a small business.

Beginning October 1st, we will be increasing our prices by approximately $1–$2 per bottle. September will remain at our current prices, so you’ll have some time to stock up before the increase.

I know this is a bit of a good-news/bad-news update, but we’re doing everything we can to keep Atomic Polish moving forward while keeping things as affordable as possible.

Heyooo!! 🐔

I’m so excited to share some cute chicken themed stickers/artwork for Atomic Polish @atomicpolishmn . I was given the opportunity to collab with them for their fall chicken collection that will be at Polish & Beauty Expo ‘26.

Some of these cuties are based from Stacey’s own chickens 🐓 I was super nervous about this collab because I don’t often draw realistic animals. Hopefully, they don’t look to funky🤣 It was definitely a learning curve but I am glad it turned out well❤️ Also it was my first time formatting for enamel pins and that was definitely a huge learning experience.

PU Rewind - Cloud Confetti☁️

Cloud Confetti is our contribution to July’s PPU Rewind. It is originally from March 2023 Polish Pickup. Cloud Confetti is a pastel blue shimmer nail polish. It has a relatively opaque light blue base and is filled with aurora pigment that shifts from aqua to purple. It is opaque in 2 coats. This polish is only available from July 1 - 31. It is not a pre-order and will be shipped out with all of out polishes.

This is a really hard post to write.

After a lot of long conversations and reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to move out of our current space and downsize our business.

This space has meant so much to us. It’s where we hosted workshops, met so many of you in person, laughed, created, and built a community we never could have imagined when we first started. Letting go of that part of the business is truly heartbreaking.

Like many small businesses, the past few years have been challenging. This year in particular has been especially difficult with both the economic situation in the US and the oppression of people in our neighborhood in Minneapolis. At the same time, I recently moved back to my hometown in Canada, which has made it much harder to manage our current location from afar. After a lot of careful thought, we realized that downsizing is the best way to keep the business stable and protect it for the future.

We will be moving to a smaller space in New Brighton, MN, only about a 10 minute drive from our current location. While we won’t have a retail storefront or regular workshops anymore, we will still offer local pickup, and may host small events by appointment in the future.

Important dates:
• Last workshops: April 4 @ 2pm, April 11 @ 11am, April 18 @ 1pm. Please schedule online as spaces are limited.
• Last day open in our retail space: April 18

If you have a workshop credit from a rescheduled class, please reach out to us so we can make sure it’s taken care of.

Although this change is really emotional for us, it’s also about protecting what we’ve built. Downsizing allows us to stay safe during an uncertain economic time and continue creating instead of risking everything.

There are still things to be excited about. We’ll be releasing a new collection soon, and we are currently exploring expanding to add a small fulfillment area for Canada.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who came to a workshop, visited the shop, supported us online, or simply cheered us on. You helped turn a small idea into something truly special.
