We are proud to introduce two absolute pioneers joining Acquario together for the first time. Directly from Frankfurt’s late-’80s sonic underground to the global avant-garde, Uwe Schmidt and Tobias Freund, aka Atom™ & Tobias, are definitive figures in contemporary electronics. In 1992, they recorded “Elektroniikkaa”, one of the first live techno albums in history. After a decade of geographic separation between Santiago de Chile and Berlin, their reunion at Mutek 2003 sealed a permanent creative alignment. No scripts, no compromises: their live sets are entirely improvised, cutting through experimental synthesis, club culture, and pop subversions. 👾🎶✨¡NOVEDAD! ✨🎶👾 Les presentamos “SÍNTESIS. Reflexiones sobre la creatividad”, de @atomtm_official. Atom™ es el nombre artístico principal de Uwe Schmidt, uno de los músicos más prolíficos y versátiles de nuestra época, que se caracteriza por combinar rigor tecnológico, búsqueda conceptual e ironía. Con más de doscientos lanzamientos grabados con una vertiginosa variedad de alter egos, se destaca entre los arquitectos fundamentales de la gran variedad de estilos que suelen agruparse bajo la noción de “música electrónica”. Desde 1990 contribuyó a definir géneros tales como el EBM, el ambient y el techno, además de concebir nuevas fusiones radicales que dieron lugar a subgéneros como el glitch-pop, el acitón (acid + reggaetón), el ambient geopolítico y el jazz simulation. Quizás su proyecto más aclamado sea Señor Coconut, famoso por interpretar canciones de Kraftwerk al ritmo del chachachá, dando también origen al estilo electrolatino. SÍNTESIS es un tratado sobre los procesos creativos, que parte de la experiencia de Atom™ como músico, pero cuyo alcance excede esa disciplina. Los pensamientos, que se suceden a modo de aforismos y reflexiones, abarcan problemáticas universales que atañen a la relación entre arte y error, innovación y repetición, inspiración e improvisación. Producto de un ejercicio de autoobservación minucioso que pone el foco principalmente en la relación compositiva con tecnologías analógicas y digitales (desde sintetizadores y máquinas de ritmo hasta inteligencia artificial, pasando por el sampling, los secuenciadores MIDI y softwares de audio), este libro nos ofrece una necesaria hoja de ruta para artistas contemporáneos. ATOM™ & TOBIAS. (live) 「これは猫とネズミのゲームではなく、ネズミたちとチーズのゲームだ」 前回、Atom™とTobiasがLabyrinthで、今や伝説となったロング・ライブセットを披露したとき、私の頭にはある光景が浮かんだ。二匹のトリッピーなネズミが、サイケデリックなヒゲをぴくぴくさせながらステージ上で知恵を絞りながらゲームをしている姿だ。 そのゲームとは「狩り」であり――私が迷宮の奥深くに隠したチーズを探す狩りだった。 AtomとTobiasは、このゲームを実に30年以上にわたって続けてきた。そのなかで二人の間には、直感的で、言葉を必要としない独自のコミュニケーション言語が育まれてきた。彼らの演奏は完全な即興で流れは誰にも予測できず、どこへ辿り着くのかもわからない。チーズを探す途中、ときには二人が別々の方向へ漂うこともある。だが、やがて再び二人の歯車が徐々に噛み合い始め、「ひとつになる瞬間」へとどんどん近づいていく。 私自身、長年ダンサーとして様々なDJやライブを見てきたつもりだが、それでもこの二人の天才が、あの「ひとつになる瞬間」が生まれる圧倒的な音楽体験は他にない。 迷宮の中に隠されたチーズを見つけた瞬間。 二人自身もその瞬間を認識している。そしてフロアにいる誰もがそれを感じ取っている。 Labyrinthにおける彼らの壮大な歩みは2011年に始まり、これまでに7回のパフォーマンスを数えるが、Mindgamesからその録音された音源をリリースしたことはない。何故ならそのパフォーマンスは、その場所その瞬間に立ち会ってこそ意味があり、あの場で鳴っていたサウンドシステムの質感や音圧とあまりにも深く結びついているからだ。 体験したいのであれば、その場にいるしかない。 そして今年はこのふたりが初めてLabyrinthでクロージングセットを披露する。 尚更、この瞬間を体感して欲しい。 --- It's not a game of cat and mouse. It's a game of mice and the cheese. The last time Atom™ and Tobias played one of their legendary live sets at Labyrinth, I had a vision of these two as trippy mice, psychedelic whiskers twitching, playing a clever game on stage. The game was a hunt for the cheese hidden deep inside the labyrinth. Atom and Tobias have been playing versions of this game for three decades, developing an intuitive non-verbal language of communication. They play in an improvised form, where the flow is unpredictable and destination unclear. At times they drift apart in the hunt, but then you feel them lock back in as they get closer and closer to that moment of union. As dancers for many years, we have seen many magic moments, but we have never experienced anything like when these two sonic geniuses collide in one of those moments of union. They know it, and everyone on the floor knows—that moment where they find the cheese. Their epic run together at Labyrinth began in 2011 and consists of seven performances. We haven't released these recordings because their performance is so much tied to the texture and sound pressure of the system in that place and time. To experience it, you must be there. And this year in particular you must be there, for Atom™ and Tobias are, for the first time, playing the closing set on the final day. by @atomtm_official

Et pour finir, voici la présentation des artistes du dimanche 09 août ! 👑 Lundi nous passerons à la présentation des DJ qui enflammeront le Micro Rêve 🌬️ Atom™ Atom™ (Uwe Schmidt) est un musicien, producteur et artiste conceptuel pionnier, dont le travail n’a cessé de redéfinir les frontières de la musique électronique contemporaine. Au cours d’une carrière de plus de trois décennies, il a exploré un éventail extraordinaire de styles. Exotrax est le nouveau live set post-techno à haute énergie d’AtomTM, pensé pour des systèmes de sonorisation puissants et accompagné de l’EP du même nom, sorti fin 2025 sur le label Sonic Groove d’Adam X. Kee Avil Kee Avil est le projet de la productrice et autrice-compositrice montréalaise Vicky Mettler, dont les chansons déconstruites mêlent guitare, voix et production électronique dans un alliage singulier d’avant-pop, de glitch et de folk expérimental. Après les albums salués Crease (2022) et Spine (2024), elle revient avec Vapor, un album évolutif dévoilé titre par titre tout au long de 2026 sur NNA Tapes. Cio D’Or Cio D’Or est une artiste, compositrice et DJ dont le travail navigue avec fluidité entre techno, composition contemporaine et art sonore. Guidée par des idées qui émergent du silence, elle crée une musique profondément immersive, cherchant à exprimer l’inexprimable. Le résultat est une exploration intemporelle de la musique, du mouvement, de la structure et de l’émotion. GEE TEE GEE TEE est un groupe australien de garage punk dont le mélange survolté de punk, power-pop et garage rock lo-fi lui a valu un public international fidèle. Formé en 2016 sur la Gold Coast australienne et désormais basé à Sydney, le groupe s’est forgé une réputation grâce à des concerts explosifs, des disques rapidement épuisés et des tournées incessantes. Devon Rexi Devon Rexi est un trio basé à Amsterdam, qui mêle krautrock motorik, deep dub et électronique expérimentale dans un son à la fois cosmique et profondément ancré. Composé de Nicola Reverda (Nicolini), Nushin Naini et Goya van der Heyden (La Rat), le groupe façonne rythmes hypnotiques, lignes de basse résonantes et paysages sonores immersifs à partir d’un dispositif fa taken in KulturA. by @atomtm_official

Following Sektion’s debut single “Kopplung”, the full length “Druck” album constructs a pressurized acoustic architecture within an expansive stereo field. Across thirteen interconnected pieces derived from the compositional frameworks Vokostasis, Digitraktion, Leerzeichen and Unwucht, the album unfolds with calculated mechanical restraint. Luego de dos semanas desde el lanzamiento de nuestra reedición, El Baile Alemán suena nuevamente en gran parte del mundo y posiblemente como nunca antes. El interés ha sido muy grande y las últimas copias disponibles están volando…. ¡Ahora o nunca! WOW. Ya recuperados y muy felices por la experiencia que vivimos el sábado. Al fin logramos el sonido que veníamos buscando desde nuestra primera “fiesta”. Gracias a los tremendos @atomtm_official y @tobias_freund_music que lo dieron todo y más en una maratón musical de 6 horas. Y al mago Tim Rees que llevó el sonido a otra dimensión. Qué maravilloso es sentir las frecuencias en la piel, el subbajo en el pecho y la música en los oídos, no? Gracias a @salametronomo y a todo su equipo. Es un agrado trabajar con ustedes. Gracias a @funktionone_chile por confiar en nuestra obsesión sonora y pasarnos siempre el mejor y más obsceno sistema de sonido. Este año debutamos con la última tecnología de F1, los Evo 7 y wow… se siente! Un verdadero masaje para el cuerpo y el alma. Gracias también a @fomo.lp por montar la iluminación tal como queríamos. Y por supuesto gracias al tremendo público. Qué lindo es ver tanta sonrisa y buena energía en la pista de baile. Fue perfecto… pero intentaremos que la próxima sea aún mejor.
