FRANCISCO

1. Who tf is #MYR?
Some friends making sounds in the Sonoran Desert.

2. Who tf is Fransisco?
I am him. (A man of few words.)

3. What does this project mean to you?
Something that I’ve wanted to try, and I’m thankful for my friends for making it happen.

4. Describe the recording process during your Artist Residency in Oracle.
Community. Peaceful. Historic.

5. Which songs were written by you?
“Dirt Man.”

6. One high, one low from conception to completion of the album.
Low: Self-doubt when recording came around.
High: That feeling after the show that has me feeling euphoric.

7. What can we expect to see in the following months?
More practice, more songs, some shows. Keep an eye out for those.

8. Final thoughts?
Thank you to all our friends for helping out with the band, and to our friends who helped at the show. Shout out to Austin—you’re the man. Love you all. taken in Gracie's Tax Bar by @atribecalledluis

STEFF

1. Who tf is #MYR?
Some kind of splicey portal without sound limitation.

2. Who tf is Steff?
Sunshine spirit, shimmering melodies, tambo shaker, and not enough closet space.

3. What does this project mean to you?
It’s more than music to me. It’s a chosen family and a space where music and openness can exist freely.

4. Describe the recording process during your Artist Residency in Oracle.
Still. Celestial. Soul-filling. I’m making that a word.

5. One high, one low from conception to completion of the album.
Low: Moments of doubt creeping in. Scrambled schedules.

High: So many. Recording analog felt extra intentional, like capturing a moment in time. Hearing the fully mixed songs for the first time was unforgettable.

6. What can we expect to see in the following months?
More shows. Long live live music, baby. New songs. ;)

7. Final thoughts?
Austin Owen at @oracle_recording_studio - your patience and guidance meant so much to me, as it was my first time recording on tape.

Big love to the beautiful community at @rancholindavistaarts.

Josh Eells (@joshuakenyoneells) for providing bass and sweet support during our recording time.

Our incredibly talented openers, @carliandthedark and @son0rao

Our music loves — Carli, Levi, Lane, and Lys for hopping on this very first full-on show.

Ren Galloway, you are a visionary creative director. Thank you for your art and your efforts. @suckrpunchd @suckrpunchh

To the friends and family who showed up big time at our Album Release Show: seeing your faces blew my mind. I’m so grateful for all of you.

And to the guys, Cheeze and Luis !! I’m proud of you. I love you. Sometimes I catch glimpses of us at 13 and think, who would’ve known? I’m grateful to hold such a dear friendship and this shared dream that is MYR.

We serve the music. taken in Gracie's Tax Bar by @atribecalledluis
