For Your Grammy® Consideration In The Neighborhood
Best Music Video

We are so excited that “In The Neighborhood” has been accepted for consideration for Best Music Video!

In the Neighborhood is a music video that amplifies the message of belonging. @atrillionskies and I both know firsthand how important it is for everyone, especially children, to feel included and valued. Drawing upon our own experience as music educators working with children, we celebrate our differences and share a message of inclusion, friendship, and community.

If I told my past self in 2014 when I started that I would be a GRAMMY nominated award winning children’s artist and preschool music teacher full time, I wouldn’t have been so depressed and hopeless for over 12 years.

To everyone who listened to my music from the beginning and to all who support me, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

How do you know if you don’t try?

At my work I love to observe. I notice all these beautiful bonds between the children and the silliness they can evoke in each other. I notice especially between the boys just how beautiful of a bond these children have.

So I wrote a song about a fictitious tree where owls live, and a place where brothers can meet.

If I get to 1000 monthly listeners, I will definitely celebrate with a cake. I love all of you. I used to dream of days like this.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and my musical journey. OWL TREE, a song about the uniqueness of boyhood, OUT NOW. And. As always I LOVE YOU. #music #newmusic #explorepage #brotherhood #singersongwriter by @atrillionskies
