As part of this development, the Woolloongabba clinic car park will be closed for approximately two years, from 2 March 2026.

Recently, our Support Services team attended the Disability Expo, connecting with community members and service providers from across the region.

The day provided a great opportunity to yarn with mob about the supports and services available through ATSICHS Brisbane, while also building relationships with other organisations working in the disability sector.

Meet Cruze Williams, our 2026 Young, Black & Proud Arts Category Winner.

Cruze is a proud Kunja and Ngemba boy from Charleville with a passion for art and storytelling. From a young age, he has loved drawing and exploring different creative styles, particularly anime. Cruze has embraced traditional art as a way to connect with culture, share stories and continue growing as an artist.

Our ATSICHS Brisbane Queensland Murri Carnival teams represented more than just their culture when they pulled on their jersey's this year.

Designed by young Wakka Wakka artist Cooper Simpson from Cherbourg (pictured 2nd), the jersey features the Brisbane River, totems representing the diverse mobs of the players, and a freshwater turtle symbolising his cousin Jarli Jarrett.

After suffering a serious spinal injury in the first game of the season, Jarli was unable to return to the field or captain the Under 16s team as planned. Wanting to honour his cousin and the journey the team has faced together, Cooper made Jarli the heart of the design.

Worn by all of our ATSICHS Brisbane sponsored teams, this is Cooper’s first QMC jersey, created with support from Struddys to bring his artwork to life.

For Cooper and his family, the jersey is also a way of giving back to the people who have supported local young people through rugby league, including coach Ray, who has helped create opportunities for generations of players to compete at the carnival.

It’s QLD Mental Health Week!

Looking after ourselves can be as simple as yarning with mob, getting outside for a walk, spending time with family and friends, spending time on country or even taking a moment for yourself.

Sometimes, a good yarn and a bit of company is just what you need. Our community groups are a place for mob to come together, connect and feel supported, not just this week, but all year round.

Many of our group participants tell us: "It's the highlight of my week." "These mob are my family." "I always leave feeling better than when I arrived."

If you’re keen to get involved, check out our website to learn more about all the deadly groups we have. by @atsichsbris
