Hey, I just wanted to share a small update with you.

This will most likely be the last batch I make this year for both Ergofluid and Solid. I’m slowly shifting my focus to a new project and closing this chapter for now.

I feel really grateful for everything that happened with this work. Every comment, message, repost, and every single order made this possible. Over the past two years I’ve made hundreds of mugs that ended up in homes all over the world, which still feels a bit unreal.

For this last drop there will be Ergofluid mugs, asymmetric Ergoespresso, Solid cups, and also a few shards. I really hope these last pieces find good homes and bring some joy, just like the previous ones did

Here’s the final cup! The shards are made by breaking a block of black porcelain, so the rocky texture comes straight from the clay itself. Set against the smooth, glossy white body, each cup feels tactile, rugged, and full of character.

The ‘shards’ cups are out of the kiln and this is the final look. You saw the making process in the previous reel and finishing them felt like a nice moment to share too. This collection is still very new and starting small but I am excited to keep developing it and adding more pieces in the future.

They will be available this Sunday during the shop update.

Asymmetrical Ergofluid mugs are back. They took me a long time to finish and I am really happy with how they turned out. This drop will also include Ergoespresso, Solid cups, bowls, small plates, and a lot of new pieces I am excited to share.

The last step of making an Ergofluid mug is finally joining the rocky cup with its organic handle. It looks simple, but this part always makes me slow down. Since I’m working with two different clay bodies, I have to score deeper and pay attention to how dry each piece is.

The handle at this stage is still quite fragile, so I have to work very gently. Any extra pressure from a tool or too tight of a grip from my hand and it can break. It’s a delicate moment, but also my favorite one, when the two contrasting parts finally become one.

In a shoe box, my handles wait.
I like to work in sections: first I make a batch of handles, then I move on to cups, and later I attach them together. Sometimes that takes weeks, so keeping the handles at the right dryness is important.

To stop them from drying out, I store them in a shoe box and spray water every few days to keep the humidity high. This way, they stay leather-hard and ready when I need them.

I do the same with cups, only instead of a box, I wrap them in plastic.

Controlling dryness is one of the most important parts of my process, especially when I’m bonding two different clay bodies
