Shoot Therapy - This helped me on the journey of processing and unpacking something that happened to me a long time ago. The moth placement represents how I was silenced, controlled, kept in a prison for 6 years, disguised as a house. The beautiful death head moth represents rebirth. Moth’s fly towards light, I like to believe there is always hope. Look at all our images closely there are almost always meanings or underlying stories. I’ve written a lot of poems on this topic and we have a lot of images to accompany them. I hope one day to create a little book but it’s me, ideas are abundant but some of the bigger ones get a bit overwhelming and can get lost for a while.

It will be 10 years in January since Dad left our mortal realm, he’s never seen me on trapeze. His & Mums advice was to not put things off, do everything you want now because you don’t know what’s round the corner. I’m trying to put that into practice. I’m not exactly where I want to be in Trapeze but I’ve come a long way, that’s worth celebrating. I’m always waiting until I’m better, putting things off, I’ll always want to be better so it will never happen if I don’t just do the scary things now. Doing this video was a scary thing but boy was it worth it!

Thanks to @aerial_edge for making this video possible and being such a welcoming space. Extra thanks to @gabeghost for filming so beautifully and putting together this impactful video to capture forever this point in my trapeze journey, I love it!

✨ Twinkle Toes ✨

Original audio, because I love hearing the actual music in the moment.

I added little pieces of a mirror ball to the toes of my Converse, and I do love the twinkle.

However, I can’t help feeling that more might be more in this case. I may be compelled to disco further… 🪩✨ by @attackkats

Mirror tiles on one pair, ink, gold and silver splashed across both.

I found these while tidying, the first pair of Converse I ever owned. I was about to throw them out when I decided to try painting them instead. Now they have a new life, ready for trapeze. 🤸🏻‍♀️

And just like that, tidying became a side quest. 🎨

This is why I never finish the task I start. I always get sidetracked by an idea, and suddenly I’m creating something instead.

The tidying can wait. Apparently, these old shoes still had a little magic left in them. 🪞

The things we keep

Some things are too precious to abandon.

So she cradled it close,
let it drink from the well of her being,
until her eyes held nothing
that was once her own.

Now she keeps it.

I think we should share when something/ someone spark’s us. ☺️

I saw a move @amber.circ0 did that I wanted to try, a scorpion backbend on trapeze. As usual, I got sidetracked by something else, a little twist that came earlier.

So I never even got round to trying the scorpion and ended up having far too much fun with twists and turns instead! My grip is precarious here, my small hands struggle to grip both rope’s as tightly as I’d like. Something to work on to see if I can make it more comfortable.
