We are hosting a DJ workshop for beginners at @fono.kl , KL! DM us to sign up. ••• In a collaboration with Attagirl!, we’re hosting an introduction to DJing on the final weekend of 2020 for womxn. Limited spots because we want to keep this intimate (and also Rona is still out there), slide into Attagirl!’s DM for more info on how to secure yourself a chance to be part of the workshop.

This workshop is geared towards those who want to pick up new skills or to learn making your own mixes for your dance routines/run sessions/work soundtrack. It is also suitable for those who want to have a better understanding of DJing before committing to a more intensive DJ class or simply be an informed supporter of the music scene.

Passing the knowledge (and passion) to you will be DuriO @durio.rene aka Serene (co-founder of Attagirl! & BaowBaow) and DJ XA @xa.driza. DuriO is an alumni of FFF Bootcamp, an all-female intensive introductory workshop series founded by Singapore’s finest: Cherry Chan (Syndicate, RBMA), Debbie Chia (Midnight Shift), and Natalie Pixiedub. Meanwhile, XA paved her way through the scene under the tutelage of some of the best turntablists/hip hop DJs in Malaysia - the late DJ Nesh, Malaysia DMC champion DJ CZA (Ahli Fiqir, Stylustiks, 16 Baris), and DJ T-Bone (Too Phat, Playaz Universe, Kartel Hitmen).

Both DuriO and DJ XA have years of experience playing in clubs, bars, festivals, corporate events, and making appearances in other cities outside of their home base. Apart from teaching you the foundations, they will be sharing their wisdom and guidance on where you want to take yourself after the weekend. by @attagirlparty
