Self portrait of 36

Last night of my 36th year, maybe the hardest and worst year I’ve endured yet. Moved across the country twice , spent many months wanting for death and even a few months actively pursuing it . I hope for growth these days, mostly , and struggle to honor the hard parts . I Spent the first morning of my thirty seventh year cliffside , 190 feet above the beach, laying in the dirt, awoken by the sound of hundreds of parakeets, pummeled by cold Atlantic wind , but still managed to sleep in, worn down by thousands of kilometers of rough highway that passes through endless Argentine steppe. a family of dolphins played in the rough surf below, it felt like a taunt. I know what i want isn’t at the end of this highway, but maybe the ability to see it will be found along the way. by @attitude.sickness
