HUGE win last month. Tevis and Gastley teamed up for a Rape case with a 2 x Life Without Parole sentence if he lost. The client turned down an offer of 2.5 more years in jail to go to trial. We destroyed the State's witnesses and the judge ruled that the "rape shield" law no longer applied to protect the "victim's" lies. The State gave up and offered time served, no rape conviction, no sex offender registry. by @attorneytevis

First, APD put his name in the news tying him to the Sparks St. murders. Then the State opposed his bond. We argued that there was no evidence of his guilt at all during a preliminary hearing that went on for a month. We eventually secured a bond, but he was on house arrest. Finally, over a year later, the state agreed it didn’t have the evidence and declined to even indict the case. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims of the tragic shooting, but we are grateful the justice system worked and my client is finally released by @attorneytevis

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Had the pleasure of presenting to the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, along with Judge Veal, on self-defense and immunity motions. Got a client out of jail on probation after his first two lawyers didn’t get him a bond hearing in almost 9 months. Then got a shooting case dismissed yesterday when it was called for trial. February is off to a great start. by @attorneytevis
