Today we would like to take the time to honor Joseph Emmett Temple. Joseph is graduating with two Bachelor’s of Science in Physics and Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, along with two Certificates in Performance and Computer Programming. Post-graduation, Joseph has plans to pursue a PhD in Physics at Washington University in St. Louis! He will be doing research in theoretical and computational biophysics, and he’ll “hopefully still be singin’ his little heart out in a choir somewhere!” Joseph said his favorite memory being a part of ATU Choirs is genuinely an impossible task to pick, but for now is the impromptu section photoshoot on the rocks at the end of the last Choral Artists tour. Or tour in general, frankly. If Joseph could offer a piece of advice to his freshman self, it would be “Cherish it all. All of it.” Joseph, it is genuinely an impossible task to come up with the words to convey how much you will be missed in our program. It has been the honor of a lifetime singing with you and we cannot wait to see how far you go. We wish you congratulations and the very best of luck! by @atuchoirs
Today’s Senior Spotlight is Tyler Teague! Tyler is a Business Management major with plans to become a Children’s Pastor and attend Cross Seminary post-grad. Tyler’s favorite memory being a part of ATU Choirs is going out to eat after choir with his friends. If he could offer a piece of advice to his freshman self, it would be “Don’t leave the choir junior year! You’ll want to come back!” Tyler, we cannot express just how much we’ll miss your smiling face every day. You have been a true light and joy to be around and we wish you success and happiness in your future! by @atuchoirs
Please join us this coming Sunday for our final concert, “The Caged Bird Sings For Freedom!” 📍Witherspoon Auditorium 🗓️ Sunday, April 19th 🕝 2:30pm by @atuchoirs
Our next Senior Spotlight is Haley Wooten! Haley is a Vocal Music Education major, and after graduation she hopes to pursue elementary music in the district. Haley’s favorite part of being in ATU choirs is the normal everyday getting to talk to everyone. She also loves when the choir makes it to the point that we have our music down and can truly just enjoy singing together! If Haley could offer a piece of advice to her freshman self, it would be “Don’t take it personally. Failure is a part of learning, it’s nothing to say about you as a person or your abilities! And truly, there are some things that just aren’t meant to happen, that’s okay.” Haley, you have been the brightest light and the greatest joy. We will miss your kindness and your smile, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. by @atuchoirs
This week we would like to take the time to highlight one of our seniors, Erin Sampley. Erin is a Vocal Music Education major. After graduation, Erin plans on pursuing a career teaching choir at a middle school level. Her favorite memories being a part of ATU Choirs are the post-concert meals spent together, most often at Buffalo Wild Wings. If Erin could give her freshman self one piece of advice, it would be: “Music is a gift you carry. You dont have to make it shine. Just let it move through you.” Erin, we are so grateful for your time and energy that you poured into this program over the last four years. We will miss you dearly, but we know you will do great things. Best of luck after graduation! by @atuchoirs
