Some of you don't understand the significance as a diasporan returning back home.

That the conditions our ancestors left In were made so that they never return, but so many of us have.

We have the blood of our ancestors running through our dna which is why when you take that first step back to the motherland your spirit automatically feels at peace.

You made it back home after all of the suffering that was endured on our behalf and that is no small thing!

For the rest of the diaspora that are yet to return, the motherland is waiting for you.

On Thursday 28th November, all of my hard work and consistency over almost a decade was rewarded by the most high and ancestors.

I am now a queen mother in Ghana.
Nkosuohema of Nyamekrom in Koforidua.

My stool name and how i will be addressed going forward is Nana Akua Asaantewaa.

I believe that this demonstrates a powerful reconnection and that the African spirit transcends boarders and time.

I am also an example that we of the diaspora are welcome and needed back home 🙏🏽

The journey has just begun ✨️
