My 3rd year FMP project was a Gucci perfume visual merchandising/ display model. It shows the Gucci perfume at 4:1 scale with the ingredients from the scent growing up around it. The bottle was made by laser cutting the flat panels and 3D printing the top curved section. The lid was CNC machined disks with a laser engraved logo attached to an acrylic tube, and then rotary laser engraved. The label wasn’t photographing well so I had to digitally draw over most parts of the label to create a smooth outcome, I then laser cut a striped template and sprayed lacquer over it to create the striped texture. The plant stems are majority welded brass rod and either sculpted around or wrapped with floral tape and painted. The patchouli is felted cotton, the ylang ylang and lily of the valley are sculpted. The magnolia is laser cut crepe paper, painted with water colour, and curled and glued together. The mandarins and dewberries were mould and cast, the mandarin were cast in fast cast which only filled a bit and rolled around to make them hollow, and the dewberries were cast in resin coloured with pigments. This project challenged me a lot as I had to learn lots of new techniques and skills but I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the process. 🌷🌺🍊 @newbladesshow @gucci @aubmodelmaking by @aubmodelmaking

New Blades 2026! Last week I had the exciting opportunity to exhibit my work at the New Blades graduate modelmaking show in London. It was wonderful to meet and talk with so many industry professionals, fellow graduates, and visitors. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit my stand, ask questions, and interact with my work - it was great to meet you all! It was such an honour to also receive the Storyteller award! Thank you to @newbladesshow for recognising my body of work. A massive thank you to @aubmodelmaking, and to event organisers and sponsors @4d_modelshop, @fosterandpartners, @amalgam_modelmaking and @foxsilverltd for making it all possible. #NewBlades2026 #Modelmaking #GraduateShow #ArtsUniversityBournemouth #AUB by @aubmodelmaking

On Thursday I exhibited my models with my university and many others in London. It was a long day and an even longer set up in the weeks leading up to this. Everybody's work displayed was of an amazing level and I had the best time getting to talk to the public. Thank you @newbladesshow and Paul and Claire on @aubmodelmaking for making this event happen! I'm sad it's over. by @aubmodelmaking
