there is beauty in slow moments…

the Lord has taught me a lot in this slowed down season of life. the lesson of patience. the lesson of contentment. the gift of His peace. i am always looking to the future and planning for what’s next. i tend to look forward to the next thing on my calendar and be anxious for what will happen next week, next month, or next year. the Lord has taught me that while being prepared is good, if we let it completely fill our minds, we can’t be present where we are at. anxiety and apprehension of the future keeps us from enjoying the moment we are in. there is so much beauty in slowing down, leaving everything at the feet of Jesus, and putting our trust in Him. when we fully surrender our lives and plans to Him, we are able to step into the beautiful plans He has for us. by @aubree.stennes
