When they give you 30 seconds to show how music speaks to your soul. 🥹
Music is energy and resonance. It is language and connection. It tells stories and gives life. I am always in awe and appreciation of its power.

Grief journey - walking through it - trying not to judge.
Maybe you don’t lose the weight of grief, you learn to carry it better? Maybe it is like an old sweater that smells like all the ones you’ve lost along the way? There’s so much comfort in having known them. The pain of loss is worth the weight it brings.

It’s been nearly four months since we lost my dad.
About a month ago, I nearly lost the love of my life.
I’ve been trying to get my feet back on sold ground. Each step feels like quicksand. Each breath feels tight, like a weight on my chest.

The only way to love life is one precious moment at a time.
Hold the people you love close.
Appreciate each moment.
Uplift when you can. Rest.
And know that you are loved unconditionally.
I LOVE YOU. YOU ARE NEEDED. YOU ARE PRECIOUS. by @aubrey_made_it

Date nights in the middle of production just hit different. Thank you @jerrygangelo for taking me out on the town 😘 by @aubrey_made_it

We lost George Trujillo last week. Elise and I were privileged to have met him and his wife, Roxanne last year through Aubrey and Jerry. He had a wonderful sense of humor. This portrait exemplifies that. Much love to the family and the memory of George. #georgetrujillo #fortmorgan #portrait #memory #lovedones @trujilloroxanne @aubrey_made_it @jerrygangelo by @aubrey_made_it

These past days have been some of the hardest I’ve experienced.

After sharing the news of my dad’s passing, I honestly wasn’t sure how to talk about releasing new music. Grief has a way of making everything feel both incredibly important and strangely insignificant at the same time.

But one thing I’ve kept coming back to is this:

Life doesn’t stop asking us to keep living.

A little while ago, I wrote a song called Love Is a Championship. It’s about choosing love, showing up for one another, and believing that some things are worth fighting for.

Releasing it today feels different than I imagined, but maybe that’s okay.

If you choose to listen, I hope it brings you a little light wherever you are.

Dad, I know you’re listening.
You can get up and win now.
Thank you for all your love.

Thank you for all the kindness you’ve shown me and my family these past weeks. It has meant more than I can say.
Love Is a Championship is out now.

My dad. I miss you so much. I love you with my whole heart. I will miss you everyday and don’t quite know what to do with all the love I haven’t had a chance to share with you yet.
Thank you for being my dad. by @aubrey_made_it
