Dear Bolivar Softball,

I am the worst at goodbyes, which is why this took me so long to post. This program has meant more to me than I can put into words. It gave me memories I’ll cherish forever, lessons that go far beyond the field, and people who truly became family. My teammates became my second family, and I’m so grateful for the bond we share and the love we showed each other through every high and low. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of Senior girls to end this with and go through all of the ups and downs with for countless years. I couldn’t be any more proud and thankful for all of my underclassmen girls I also got to end with.

Thank you to my coaches, my family, and everyone who supported me along the way—especially for the endless love and support I was given when I lost my number one fan last year. Those moments showed me just how special this program truly is. I can’t even describe how much it pained me when I found out I lost my Maw-Maw today. My best friend. She was one of the kind. She was the most selfless person I knew and always made sure everyone was taken care of whether it’s in life or gift giving. There’s already been so many things that remind me of her every second. She would not miss any of the grandkids ballgames or activities, which meant the world to us. You don’t realize what blessings you have until you lose them. It is hard without her, but I know she’s in a better place even though it was a shock to everyone. Countless tears have been shed for you already. I am so glad , without knowing it was your last ball game ever I had the honor of hitting a home run for you.. Love you forever Maw-Maw no one can even come close to replacing you. 💗🕊️ by @aubsz_24

Getting to hear my all-time favorite Cardinal speak was already amazing, but getting to show him our old picture and have a whole conversation with him made it even better!! Never would’ve imagined I’d get to have such a special conversation with him. A night I’ll remember forever!!
