✨SUPERVISOR SPOTLIGHT✨

Today, we are highlighting the amazing Jodi Robeson from the Alabama Psychiatric Medication Review Team (APMRT)! Swipe to the second slide to learn more about Jodi and her incredible work.

APMRT is a collaboration between Auburn University’s Department of Psychological Sciences and Alabama DHR. APMRT involves an interdisciplinary team of licensed behavior analysts, a behavioral pharmacologist, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Their mission is to support Alabama’s DHR-involved youth and their caregivers by providing comprehensive resources to address behavioral challenges and advocate for effective and appropriate psychotropic medication use.

Graduate students placed at APMRT have the opportunity to design and implement behavior change procedures primarily in home and community settings under the supervision of a BCBA. Students also participate in medication review services, medication advocacy trainings, and workshops alongside physicians and other professionals, gaining valuable experience in interdisciplinary care.

We are so grateful for Jodi’s dedication, mentorship, and the invaluable contributions she makes to APMRT and the students she supports. Thank you, Jodi, for all that you do 🧡🧡 by @auburnaba

✨SUPERVISOR SPOTLIGHT✨

This summer, we are excited to highlight our incredible practicum supervisors across our various sites within the Alabama community. We’re kicking things off with two outstanding supervisors, April Rapp and Dannah Chappell from Auburn City Schools!

At ACS, graduate students have the opportunity to provide school-based behavioral consultation across K-12 classrooms under BCBA supervision. Their experience typically includes staff training, conducting behavioral assessments, BIP development, program recommendations, treatment integrity monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary IEP teams.

We are grateful for the mentorship and expertise April and Dannah provide to our students and school communities! 👏👏 by @auburnaba
