the finished piece 🗣️

i started this project on february 28th, the day that the news broke out. i was so frustrated and needed something to channel it, and this piece was it. i hand sewed everything. the border is cropped out a bit but that’s sewn as well. it’s been 82 days since the united states attacked iran, and i’ll say it again, it needs to stop

the piece was inspired heavily by @traceyeminstudio ‘s “Hate and Power can be a Terrible Thing,” a wonderful piece that you should look at when you have the time. i’m in awe of her raw authenticity by @audge.dierkens
