When I was a child, I like stomping on puddles to make splashes. I don't know why, it just feels fun. Of course it's messy and often dirty because of all the dirt and mud.

I remember that one time an alleycat was walking in a weird pattern to avoid the puddles, then my mom said "Look at that cat! Be like the cat, it's smart knowing it's bad to go step into the puddle."

In frame is my cat, Chocolate Milk aka Si Coklat, doing the exact same thing that cat did back then. by @audichoiron

It was an afternoon during the eid this year. I found myself once again back in the coastal home of my grandparents and see how the light isolate this sage green door and the plastic stool in front of it. Fortunately, I brought my camera to capture ordinary moment like this. There was nothing special, it's not even beautiful, and easily glossed over by many people's eyes, yet I still took the picture.

It's quite interesting how a photo will frame the scene it capture. People seeing this photo can imagine a completely different room to the right, left or back of this scene. For me, this exact scene remind me of my late grandpa. A stoic, child-friendly, and hard-working sailor who was the patron of his family. As far as I can remember, he always sit right against this wall, just a bit to the left, with remote on his hand to watch the tv across the room.

Outside to the right, exist a narrow veranda full of dust from all the vehicle using the road. It's quite a busy road connecting multiple coastal villages to the south of Bangkalan, namely Kelelah and Khebenyar.

If you go to the left, goes through the back door, and follow the alley for 50 meters you will end up on the muddy beach where the fishermen tied their boats. Afar, you can see Suramadu Bridge and the second largest metropolitan city on the other side of the channel.

Meanwhile, back to the room, it has changed again from the last time I went there. Now it's a normal, village asian living room with the only anomaly is a gas stove just left to the stool. Indeed this room has always been multifunctional. It is there for the family to gather, to receive the guest, to store aluminium furnitures when my grandpa still produced them, to store my cousin's dimsum before delivery, and many other untold events.

This home was build by my grandma using the hard-earned american dollars my grandpa get by sailing through Suez and Panama. I wonder how many generations from them that can still shelter under it's humble roof. taken in Bangkalan Madura, Jawa Timur, Indonesia by @audichoiron

Menyempatkan lewat jalur tambak beberapa tahun lalu cukup rutin dilewati.

Alhamdulillah.

Terima kasih @brilliantdwii atas foto-foto kerennya. Rasanya baru kali ini posting foto narsis sebanyak ini. taken in UNSW sydney by @audichoiron

The old masters always said that contrast is the soul of a painting. You can't see the light without shadow on the other side. If that adagium is correct, then God truly is the Master Painter.

On the a rocky hill of Clovelly, Raphael stood there alone. The sun is shining in the shoulder, and the breeze is caressing his cheek. In front of him is the Tasman Sea that connect to the Pacific, mighty and endless. While on his back is the cemetery. It is quite poetic, he thinks, the settlers definitely had a great taste.

He look back over his shoulder, thinking "I'll definitely join all of you, sooner or later."

Later is okay, but soon, is not bad. He is not old, especially with modern standard, but he feels like he already see enough of his life and this world. Nothing in this world really excites him, and he is grateful for everything he has experienced so far.

The blue sea remind him of his hometown. He went out of his country to the antipode 15 years ago as a high school graduate. Since then he has meet many great friends and travel the country. He managed to love and feel heartbroken a few times. He also has a good job down at the CBD and live in the east of the latte line.

"What a privilege," he said to himself. Of course he doesn't have everything, but he doesn't have to nor is he interested.

"If today is the last, I have no regret, well, except one." he mumble softly to noone. "But we can't move one without bumping anyone can't we?"

He takes a few steps back from the railing, and start to head home.

"One more day on this beautiful earth is good I guess." taken in Clovelly Beach by @audichoiron
