So, I've been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century to bring you nice pictures of the goings on around Audile Design ... and trains.

Must play more sax. 🎷🤔 (When this episode first aired, I so vividly remember laughing my arse off at this scene. And 30-odd years later I nearly keeled over. 😂)

Can’t remember the last #blackcockatoo I’ve seen around here; don’t usually see them outside the Royal NP! I think this one’s a juvenile. 🐦‍⬛ And I’ve never had a #sulphurcrestedcockatoo come so close to eat those (unidentified) flowers. How lovely! ☺️ taken in The Deep South by @audiledesign

End of an era 😢 Was thinking over the weekend about how much INCREDIBLE music, made by the most wonderful people on the planet, has passed through the converters of this unit. In 22 years of operation, it didn’t miss a (literal) tick and put a LOT of music into the world. I’m going to miss the #Digidesign 002 very much — it still functions perfectly; they truly don’t make ‘em like that no more — but I’m very excited about the update to #RME converters and wish them an equally long and industrious life, which officially began with some @lord_esme sessions on the weekend (of which I was too smart to take any photos 🤦‍♂️).

If you’re one of the people whose music has travelled through this audio interface in and out of ProTools sometime in the last 22 years, please tag yourself in a comment! (This is gonna backfire and make me look silly, but hell, why not try … 🤷‍♂️)

Well, I’ve never been to an @eddy_current_suppression_ring show with any expectation of getting emotional … but my God, that was incredible! 🥲 They were easily as energetic and novel as seeing them in 2008 either just after, or just prior to, Primary Colours. They provided a not-insignificant portion of the soundtrack to probably the most fun period of my life. Anyone going to the Bowlo show is in for a treat, that’s for sure. 🤘
Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys were brilliant, as per usual. The new tunes were great live; they’re definitely some of my favourites.

Last night, I attended the 20th birthday bash for the #OPAL (Open Pool Australian Lightwater) reactor at @ansto, Australia’s only nuclear reactor. It was built as the successor of HIFAR (HIgh Flux Australian Reactor), which operated from 1957-2006. Great to see so many young people there who are enthusiastic about nuclear energy and the critical role it will have to play in conjunction with wind and solar technologies in combating climate change. Momentarily restored my faith in Australian science.
Had asked so many technical questions five minutes into the tour portion (no phones allowed in reactor building — no pics) that the tour guide was thinking, “What in the world of neurospicy do we have here?” The number of lives this very facility has saved around the globe is truly mind-boggling to consider — notable is the recent development of an almost 100% curative treatment for inoperable prostate cancer. Not to mention the 50% of the irradiated silicon in every bit of technology containing an integrated circuit (which is almost everything) on the planet.
