Out today our next SITE release in collab with Driftworks. Ümlaut - Listening from (the) inside by @audiobulb
Out on Friday! Listening from (the) Inside by Ümlaut @jeffdungfelder is the 5th SITE release by both Driftworks and @audiobulb . The Site series are site-specific works and we’ve been ‘traveling the world’ through them... With this album, Ümlaut serves up 10 tracks that grew out of listening at home—paying close attention to the quiet systems, routines, and environmental sounds that shape everyday life, and to the unexpected patterns and textures that emerge when those sounds are carefully observed. #ambientmusic #electroacoustic #sitespecific by @audiobulb
Very excited to bring you the next SITE release on Driftworks and @audiobulb Listening from (the) inside by Umlaut @jeffdungfelder releasing on Friday! Our site specific series journeys to the American countryside and celebrates the interior of Umlaut’s home… #ambientmusic #electronicmusic #sitespecificart by @audiobulb
Tomorrow sees the release of Darkness is Just Darkness my collaboration with @henrik_meierkord This album is will be released as digital only via the amazing @audiobulb and a massive thank you David for the support and belief in this record. To celebrate, here’s a little snippet of a video made by Henrik’s wife @terese_mornvik for the track All One Breath. This might be one of the warmer moments on the album. A pause in the dark perhaps. Also, a big thank you to @ralf_moussa_ for his video to the track Silence in the Dark. And also to @hiromuwatanabe_ for the beautiful cover art - a response to the music I shared with him. My biggest thank you is to Henrik. When I sent him this record, I didn’t intend to make, I asked him only to add cello to some of the tracks. He came back to me asking to be a full collaborator and this belief in the record was so important. I was unsure of where this music had come from or whether it was any good. So thank you for helping Henrik, without your enthusiasm I may never have found the confidence to release this. Anyway, we are both grateful for the support to date and if you want to take a listen you can do so here https://ab-euanalexandermillar-mcmeekenhenrikmeierkord.bandcamp.com/album/darkness-is-just-darkness Many thanks by @audiobulb
Me and @henrik_meierkord are gearing up for the release of Darkness Is Just Darkness later this month. It’s a record that kind of blindsided me. First because I didn’t see it coming and second because I asked Henrik to add cello to it but he asked to be a full collaborator/partner in the project. What started as a “I’m not sure what this is” quickly became something to be excited about. Others that heard it also gave great feedback and so now, a few weeks out from its release, I am far less nervous than I was - though still very nervous cause you never really know how it will be received.I really hope people can take a moment to have a listen here https://ab-euanalexandermillar-mcmeekenhenrikmeierkord.bandcamp.com/album/darkness-is-just-darkness But don’t be fooled. Both these tracks are instrumental but the album is not. If you like Scottish spoken word delivered through an early hearing device then this album might be for you... …Also, take a moment and check out the wonderful video by @ralf_moussa_ for the single Silence in the Dark. Massive thanks to @audiobulb for the belief and support. by @audiobulb
