Tucked away in the corner of my YouTube channel for years, I have just re-mastered, and re-released my first piping EP, entitled 'Cycle Breaker' onto the big streaming platforms.

🌑 Featuring original compositions for you to balter to, including the great 'Bouncing Off the Clouds' by Brian Lamond, this music represents an attempt at balance through asymmetry informed through flow of consciousness not bound by bar lines.

🌒 'The Delighted Balter' is a celebration of life and hope, written when the light at the end of the way started to show itself during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

🌓 'The Long Sharp Breath' is a meditation in 7/8 timing (mostly) , with energetic, angular rhythms and a progressive stance designed to uplift.

🌔 Finally, 'Cycle Breaker' is representative of cycles in our lives, from small daily habits, to yearly, and even generational ones. Small immediate changes lead to longer term effects, even when at times we may regress to visit old wounds and patterns, the opportunity to recalibrate is always there. Broken not through destruction but discontinuation.

I'm posting these snippets of my music. These are for all the new fans, as well as your legends, who have been around for much longer. I'll be adding little anecdotes or backgrounds about the songs as well... next up:

'Black Sun Blues' from the 'Chapter II' EP

This song is essentially a 12 Bar Blues with my own stylistic tweaks. The lyrics were inspired by the duality of light and dark, order and chaos, those kinds stark contrasts in the world.

My favourite lyric is "I am the malice, and I am the love"
