I spent $235 on a whole peacock to answer one question: does an expensive bird actually taste expensive? 🦚

After an overnight citrus brine, I roasted it with orange herb butter, brushed it with a pomegranate orange glaze and served it over jeweled rice with pistachios and fresh pomegranate.

The presentation was stunning, but the final verdict was much more familiar than I expected…

Would you try peacock for dinner?

I used to think the big moments would be the ones I remembered most.

Turns out, it’s the little hands reaching for mine, the random walks, the laughter in between, and the moments nobody planned.

The little things really do become the big things. 🤎

I share a little bit of everything over here 🥰 Food, motherhood, home, family and all the things, but nursing is a big part of my life too.

I wanted to share this for anyone who is feeling burned out, wants to spend more time with their family, is ready to move away from the bedside or is simply considering a career change.

You do not have to remain in a role that no longer fits your life just to support yourself financially. My path happens to be nursing, and I currently make $120 an hour working overnight as a remote advice nurse. I get to work from home, skip the commute and use my breaks to check on my kids or take care of things around the house.

There are remote opportunities for nurses, other healthcare professionals and people with many different backgrounds. The qualifications and pay will vary, but working from home does not automatically mean you cannot earn competitive pay.

Comment REMOTE WORK, and I’ll send you my preferred resource for finding remote nursing and healthcare opportunities.

While I was making Sunday dinner, Ava began sharing what she sees when she watches me in the kitchen. She had no idea, and heck, I didn’t even know how much I needed those words.

If nobody else believes in me, my baby girl sure does. 🥹

As a mother balancing work, supporting my husband through his health challenges, trying to improve my own health, running businesses, and still creating beautiful moments at home, it can be difficult to recognize everything I’m doing well.

Then, in the middle of an ordinary moment, my 6yr old spoke life into me.

Our children are always watching, and sometimes their words remind us that all the love we pour into their world is visible. 🤎

POV: You married a gamer 🎮❤️

For my husband’s birthday, I wanted to give him the best of both worlds. A relaxing spa getaway and a Call of Duty surprise made just for him!

With the health challenges Dave has faced, I’ve become even more intentional about creating moments where he can rest, unwind, and simply enjoy life.

Because sometimes love looks like slowing down together, and other times it looks like transforming an entire room into your husband’s favorite video game. 😂❤️

Seeing his reaction made every bit of planning worth it. Happy birthday, my love! ❤️

The struggle is real out here! Some days I don’t finish the recipe, get through my business tasks, or squeeze in that workout. There’s always something left to do.

But I’m learning to give myself grace and appreciate what I did accomplish.

Let today be enough. 🤎

This week, Ava’s globe spin landed in the ocean, so we made Blue Pasta. 🌊💙

We colored our creamy Alfredo naturally with blue spirulina and served it with crispy tilapia.

Comment OCEAN and I’ll DM you the activity sheets we used. Where do you think we’ll land next?

Ava spun the globe, and dinner took us to Naples, Italy. 🇮🇹

We made Neapolitan lasagna with carrots, salami, and miniature meatballs, then explored Italy through her passport pages. Where do you think we’ll end up next? 🌍
