Days like this are nothing less than magical. ✨

The perfect mix of people, glassy conditions, resident dolphins freely coming over to play, great Caribbean tunes, dancing like I’m in my 20s again, nonstop laughter, endless jokes, and floating on my noodle into an epic sunset.

Days like these are a reminder of what it’s all about. Living here means days like this aren’t rare, yet they never feel any less special.

42 and grateful, but with a tender heart. This season has been heavy for my family, and it’s reminded me that it really is okay to not always be okay. As we get older, health challenges pop up and life can seem unfair, our parents start aging in ways we FEEL, and suddenly the things that used to matter… just don’t anymore. Life has a way of putting everything into perspective.

But even while holding the heaviness, I’m learning to hold gratitude right alongside it. Both can exist. The good and the hard are all part of the human experience, part of our individual stories being written in real time.

Through it all, God IS good, and I truly am blessed. I have a supportive family I love more than words. I have animals that I adore (even though they occasionally treat my home like a reality show set). I have incredible friends, the kind who insist on celebrating me today even when I’d rather hide in the house with said mischievous animals. I have a job with great leadership and a team I can count on… and yes, I will still complain about work, because balance. And I have work; something I know isn’t guaranteed and something many talented people are still fighting for.

And of course, I live in paradise. Even on the hard days, beauty is right outside my window reminding me to breathe.

So here’s to grace. Here’s to gratitude. Here’s to the messiness, the blessings, the growth, and whatever this next chapter brings. Love y’all 🫶🏽✨ by @audrasimmons

My friend @kristenbrott had recently reached out asking for help with 2 Potcake pups that were hiding under a container at @villakayagrandturk . 🩵
Turns out me and @audrasimmons were heading to Grand-Turk that weekend and it seems like stars were aligning for this Mission as @potcakeplacek9rescue agreed to make space for these 2 sweet souls. 🐶🐶✨
We know too well how overwhelmed they are with the amount of pups at their adoption center.. & so we are so very grateful these 2 could be taken in.
Now hopefully they soon find their forever family.
Another successful rescue Mission for the book🫶🐶🐶🤍✨

@potcakeplacek9rescue has for mission to find families for stray potcakes that we have on island.
The work that they do is not to be taken for granted and cannot be highlighted enough.
We have a dog population that is absolutely out of control on island and so organization like this one is primordial to help us get some pups off the streets & given a chance at life.
@potcakeplacek9rescue do so much for our 4 legged furry friends.
If you’d like to help TCI in any way with animal rescue, or if you have questions, always feel free to reach out. 🫶🤍✨

@potcakeplacek9rescue takes donation either monetary or also are always in need of towels, food, ect .. they are also always on the lookout for puppy carrier. ( most pups can only leave on private plane now with the new CDC regulations making things a lot harder ) & so extra help is definitely needed these days.

One week back “home” in TCI 💙🏝️ As happy as we are to be back, for me, this beautiful life in paradise does come at a price. I don’t know if it’s just me getting more nostalgic the older I get, but even after being in Cali at home with my family for 3 months, it was a little harder leaving this time. I couldn’t have always said that in the past and always had to be any and everywhere. But God has a way of putting things in perspective when life is life-ing. The past 3 months I’ve been healing from a much needed surgery and cared for in a way that even at my age, I couldn’t have been anywhere else but with my family. It’s also been a year since Blues has been back to TCI since her cancer diagnosis, and she’s been such a trooper. She’s had tumor removal surgery, 5 rounds of chemo, and while she’ll likely be on cancer meds for life, I’m happy to say she’s currently in remission!! 🙏🏽 Now here we are, both happy, healthy and here together in this magical place - just missing home and family a little more. by @audrasimmons
