Looking back on Gracie and I’s time on Good Morning America, we’ve been treated with nothing but kindness by the crew. Not only that, but we have been so fortunate to have been given so many amazing opportunities to see each other. It was such an honor for us to be chosen to be apart of Robin Roberts’ celebration of 20 years on GMA! It’s so crazy to me that our story somehow touched the hearts of so many people.

A few weeks ago, I was able to see Gracie after almost two years in Arizona. We celebrated our 16th birthday early, which was awesome because we’ve celebrated very few birthdays together.

Since today is the last day of American Heart Month, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the American Heart Association. Being a National Youth Ambassador has been a truly humbling experience and I am thankful for the amazing opportunities I have had. Being able to share my story publicly and advocate for heart disease, a disease that I am passionate about, has been a privilege. I am honored to be apart of an organization that is so dedicated to fight a common cause❤️‍🔥🫶🏼 by @audrey.doering
