orlandoooo… i’ve got some news to share 🧑🏻‍🩰🧑🏻‍🩰🧑🏻‍🩰

I’M MOVING TO LA. IN OCTOBER. —————————>

as a child/teenager i did everything in my power to get out of presentations, speaking exams, and pretty much anything that involved me standing in front of people and talking. i’m talking ‘anxiety attacks in school, break down in tears, beg the teacher to be excused from the assignment’ anxiety.

i really wish that i could show younger me what my life looks like now.

when i graduated college, i told myself i was “never going to teach.” i wanted to dance, to perform, to be in rehearsal spaces. flash forward not even 4 full months, and i was teaching classes of my own. i was teaching preschool & 5-7 aged kids, and i fell (i’m so serious) head over heels in love with teaching dance. within the next 6 months i was teaching weekly classes, doing guest teaching at local studios, and teaching my first drop-in classes at Underground.

my schedule started to **rapidly** get more packed, and before i knew it i was working 7 days a week driving back and forth between studios daily to be with their students. it took a long time for my classes at UG to grow, but look at us now!!! it is because of YOU all that i have grown so much as a teacher, choreographer, performer, and human over the last couple years. you all are the reason i have the courage to go invest in my future. so, when i say “thank you for dancing with me”, please know that from the bottom of my heart i really do mean it.

everyone in my circle and in my professional life knows that i would do ANYTHING for every single student i have ever had, toddler to adult. teaching dance IS that deep, and i am going to miss watching you all continue to grow and change and invest in yourselves from up close.

it’s not that serious. it’s just dance. and i love to dance. and most importantly, i love to watch YOU all dance. —————————>

that being said… let’s do this thing a few more times before i go <3

phoebe combo came highly requested, lol … had so much fun dancing with everyone !!

sometimes the things we think will weigh heavy on our mind forever, are gone already and we don’t even realize that we’ve come out on the other side of it— yapped about that while teaching this one twice tonight and had a teacher moment of “oh ok, maybe i needed to hear this myself.” so, take from that what speaks to you & leave what doesn’t i suppose <3
